I developed a rattle in my B-pillar area in early August, and finally found the culprit a couple weeks back. The wire harness in the B-pillar was loose and would rattle like crazy over bumps.

After pulling it out and clipping it back in, the noise finally stopped. But every couple of days it comes loose again. It doesn’t seem damaged at all, so I don’t think the dealer would do anything other than clip it back in like I’ve already been doing - does anyone have an insight into the best way to keep it secured so that it doesn’t come loose again?

This is the part I’m talking about - it has tabs on the top and bottom that you can squeeze to pull it out and push it back in again:

I would try using silicone to "GLUE" it in place but still be able to remove it if needed.

I really appreciate these suggestions - the harness feels very tightly secured now!

For anyone else who may have this problem, I added cloth wiring harness tape all around the metal pocket and then put some silicone sealant on the edges of the rubber grommet before I clipped the piece back in. Seems to have worked perfectly.
