Did you listen to the one where the narrator was describing the system?
His voice is perfectly optimized for the system and makes you realize just how much ANY system could sound much better than it does on average.
Yeah, thanks for the download link!

bass, treble etc all set to middle of scale and volume usually 18 to 22
return of the mack from back in the 90s will flat make the headrests make some noise, its a great song to test the range of bass
taylor dayne will also test the treble and mid range she can score through many octaves. tell it to my heart, is a great song to hear lots of things going on.

as does joan jett and I love rock and roll , original version not the remake, or do you wanna touch
dire straits money for nothing original 8 minute version , not the politically correct one lots of great guitar in this one

the who baba O'riley and immence front

dire straits sultan of swing

ac dc hells bells and or have a drink on me
hells bells has good lead in that gives you time to adjust volume

skynyrd and sweet home alabama

i have a wide berth of music and genre's in my fancy
rhythm has to get me. (y)

i pretty much give my unleashed a work out each day on my 22 minute return trip from the creamery so i stay awake at 3am

I just happen to have The Who - "Eminence Front" in my iTunes. Played it for the first time in the truck after reading this thread...finally can hear something substantial coming from the headrest speakers. Thanks!

oh yes i listened to the entire layout. IMPRESSIVE all the selected music tracks had something to give back to my ears

then i listened to owner of a lonely heart a few more times sitting in driveway, with truck in the off mode to make sure i could log in my brain every little nuance he had described
i know this song very well, as i have listened it mucho grande times in my short 57 years,
i know all the words and all the music harmonies and such by heart ,

then at 2:40 ISH this AM i dropped off grand child at the creamery for her 12 hr shift and headed home

i stopped at a turn out and logged into pandora and searched for YES owner of said lonely heart song. selected surround sound as well.
i plugged usb back in and selected YES owner of same lonely heart song
so i had pandora on pause and usb ready to go when i hit 71 mph
i go back out on road , got out of town and and to 71 mph
I played the USB owner of lonely heart at volume 8. WOW WOW WOW WOW it was uber good and this was without hearing aid
then i switched to pandora and played same owner of lonely heart and it was not as good of a WOW moment
pandora left something on the table for clarity and richness of sound. i had to bump up to volume 15 to get same notes floating around the cabin
pandora mind you is very good IMO at playback quality, but after hearing the demo USB, which IMO it was clear, rich and had proper balance , i may have to re think my playback mehtods and use more of my usb stick music i download straight from the CD ( which are getting harder to find)
this is also with enhanced cabin engine noise disabled, a/c off no fan. just the whisper of wind noise and otherwise quiet cabin.

i am sure i butchered the sound experience, i heard and felt.
i also noticed on the usb stick demo the base was richer and i felt like i was dead center to all the music, whereas in pandora the bass notes were there and and good, but not as rich feeling, if that makes sense.
i am sure B and O optimized the sound on the demo usb, but WHOLLY cow i wish all music playbacks had that much clarity and richness at volume 8 .

thanks snakebitten for the usb link. it was an EYE opener for an old deaf guy

Blush. :)
Thanks for the kind words.

You guys give an old man good reasons to hang out here.
And collectively we all gain a much better ownership experience with these amazing trucks.

I don’t have a link handy, but get your hands on a lossless version of “Bubbles” by Yosi Horikawa.
What is this awesomeness?!? Listening with headphones had my brain going crazy. I can't wait until I try it in the truck!

Set it to surround, fade to a little behind the front headrests. . . .

So I have read plenty of people with the B&O Unleashed systems are disappointed with the audio quality and are upgrading their speakers.

I was listening to Spotify the other day and one of the songs on my playlist started up and just took me away. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I know everyone ears are different, but im curious if everyone is largely disappointed in the B&O system due to a bad audio source and not the system itself.

Dont get me wrong...there is nothing I have played or have found that I can do to get those stinking head rest speakers to be any louder, but just this specific configuration and this particular song....man....when it hits the 40sec mark and the instruments kick in... whoa.

Im curious if anyone else would like to try these settings and see if you get a more warm and fussy feeling about your B&O system as I did.
Wish I got this feeling on more songs, but I always look forward to this some coming up in my playlist a little more often now.

Song:

Settings:
Volume: 9-10
Sound Mode: Surround
Treble: 12 (2-3 down from Max)
Mid: Max
Bass: Max
Balance:

Does anyone else have any other links to audio clips of any type of music that they feel just sounds really REALLY good when they play it in their truck?
This song reminds me of some older Molly Hatchett rock music.

I think the Unleashed system sounds pretty good overall with music from my USB. SiriusXM is not that great, but when is it? It's not that good on anything and really only good for background music, outdoor listening... or sports talk radio.

As some have said, the bass is not astounding by any means, but the system would probably be very respectable with an aftermarket sub.

I'm replacing mine, just because I can and desire to punish myself with the install.

SiriusXM is crap. You can't spend enough money on upgrades to fix it.

Decent bit rate AAC or MP3 is quite a bit better. I can't really tell the difference with the next step lossless.

Anybody have a different download link for the ford playlist? The link posted earlier seems to be broken.
