I routed the wire through the firewall then ran it all the way across the upper portion on the wiper shroud. It is a absolute pain to get the wire through the firewall, but it can be done. I then mounted the relay module to to top of the fuse box. Then for the controller I tried to but it inside the sunglasses holder without modifying it but it didn’t fit. So I just removed to folding part and mounted it in the crevice left behind!
That looks good. I routed my wires the same way across the bulkhead of the truck.
SDHQ makes a bracket that holds the relay box under the hood that is a no drill installation. It uses existing holes. I have one at home, just haven't installed it yet. On install of the Rough Country relay box, I modified the bracket to bolt to the same bolting locations as the fuse block, but you couldn't remove the lid to the fuse box, so I bought the SDHQ bracket to relocate it.

Also, if you know anyone with a 3d printer, they might be able to print you up a plate to go into the sunglass holder hole and get it close to what you want.

I know plenty of people with a 3D printer, but not a 3D scanner! I’ll figure something out!

How hard is it to get the sunglass holder piece out, do you have to remove the overhead console? I might try to take mine out and see if I can't print a piece to fit in there.

That would be awesome! It is super easy to get the overhead console out. I just flipped the sunglass holder down, then pulled down and slightly towards the rear of the truck. There is two sliding alignment tabs in the front and two pins in the middle that attach it to the roof structure there. Then you just unplug it, my plug was on the very front. Then to remove the sunglass holder it’s one torqx screw then it pops out!

Do you need dimensions for the aux beam switch module? If you get a .stp file I could try and help!

The .stp file for the module under the hood, or the actual switch panel? I had seen a STL file for the Auxbeam on Thingiverse when I was looking for the one to build my holder for the Rough Country switch panel. Since ya know, the one I had to buy is different than the damn auxbeam one. Ended up having to design that one from nothing. The dims on the faceplate of the sunglass holder is what I am after. I'll print a couple thin ones and see if I can make one that looks acceptable. I'm not the bestest at CAD, but I might be able to make something.

Once the panel is done and it looks good, modifying it to fit the holder for the switch panel on the 3d printer software is easy.

Sounds good, I’m talking about the little switch panel inside the cab! I can get pics with dimensions of the inside of the sunglass holder if that helps! Just let me know.

Any progress on this?

Does this look like an Auxbeam power panel that has the integral relays?? Here is their C/S reply...I'm not confident in it.

"Just because it's our updated AR-800 version, rest assure that it also have built in relays.
We have informed our sales department to update the picture in the description."

Pic from the product page. Are they just hidden in the housing and pic is showing "through" that?

Well, my 6 panel Auxbeam has been installed for all of 3 months and one switch already doesn't work - been emailing Auxbeam for replacement. Seems like a cool idea, but been reading a lot of instances of poor quality overall.

Sad to hear, hopefully mine doesn’t do the same. Do you know where the failure was?

Not sure if iots the relay or board, I can bypass the relay and it powers right away. Only fails when it is cold, once there is some engine heat, it works fine. Could be the board

Interesting, I’ll be keeping an eye on mine!
