Looks like he works at a Ford dealership, too. I'm going with that he's seen it in their demo Lightning and going for internet points.
Oh that explains it.

Yeah man that pic and dash didnt look right to me.

I have looked more into this and I found another avenue. So Ill try again tomorrow. I thought the door was closed. This is actually what I worked on today. As soona s I saw it I started on it last night.. So tomorrow Ill jump on it again with this fresh start and see where it gets me and Ill let you guys know.

That being said Ford could still release this as an update for early trucks. We will have to wait and see. I just don't think anyone has this update other than the lightnings.
As always, your support is appreciated.

I looked at it. It could be done but not by just anyone. I’d like to see the tremor actually with it working and the about page. Because from what I’ve seen as of now it won’t run on any apim that is older hardware only the newer hardware part number.

I never say never but I doubt it
Are you saying our older trucks can’t handle it? Or just that the proper APIM version hasn’t been pushed to enable it? From what I’ve read it’s Power Up 3.2 that seems to enable it and we are on 2.8.3 if I remember right.

The issue is they assign a part number in the manifest. As of now the only truck that has gotten the update is a lightning. The part number for every lightning I have seen is a later part number than what we have. Not only what 21 has but early 22 has. As of 22082 I can only find unit that are the new part number with it installed.

This is the limiting factor. The hardware is not different despite a new part number. The manifest says it is so it boots the install and won't let it proceed. SO as of now the only option if to wait for Ford to release the update on a truck with older part number. I have found another option I just dont know if it will work or not.

As soon as I can get it installed I will. I can install up to 22025 on APIMs prior to the new part number.

Ok so assuming Ford pushes it to our part numbers the APIM can actually run it. I would imagine they’ll get it to us eventually. We aren’t front of the line anymore, BUT we also aren’t the Guinea pigs for new software (hahahaha)

The 22 f150 XLT 301A hasn’t had any sync 4A OTA updates either. Id like to be able to see the rear camera view of my open trailer when moving.

As a person who is in charge of delivery for software applications, I boggles my mind that Ford has had what appears to be so little software updates. or maybe it's just they've only done the older trucks to get them up to date, or focused on more halo-esque products like the lightning.

I'm not sure I've had 1 update besides map and BC updates.

My 2021 Lariet has not received an update since I manually pushed the final BC release in April. I'm hopeful they will push this out to everyone. I use Android auto everyday and would love the option to expand full screen like many others, it's honestly the one thing I don't like about my truck. I wonder if the delays in updates has something to do with them breaking thousands of vehicles?

That’s good. Because the guys that did get OTAs for trucks fully updated.. it downgraded them.

So they were fully updated with blue cruise on the latest release and an OTA just downgraded them and took features away?

Ford is learning what it's like to be a 119-year-old software startup lol

@zacko11288

Yeah happened to several people.. One @speedracercjr luckily I can get the files and manifest so I can help people but If I couldnt man.. people would be screwed. There is a thread about screen issues after OTA.. They sent out the wrong files. So they loaded the incorrect resolution and made the 12" the 8".. it was insane. I got all those people back to normal.

Ive had a full time job fixing fords screw ups with Blue Cruise and OTAs. People get so excited.. YAY an OTA.. oh it screwed my truck up.

Jesse can you help fix the billion dollar companies mess up.. Yes. I can.

Ford.. We sure hate that Jesse guy.. he needs to be banned form everythign we have because he is helping us by helping people.
