So they had it for 3 days, and it looks like they were able to unscramble the APIM, and then they manually installed all of the updates, so Im now on the newest version of Sync with Alexa, fullscreen AA and dual phones. Service advisor mentioned something about a loose/bad wire somewhere, so I'm thinking that may have been behind my issues.
They charged up the battery, so time will tell if everything is truly fixed, but at least Im finally updated.
