Anybody have their 24 built and/or delivered yet?

Just checked in with Ford Chat. Delivery date of 06/14 has now been changed to 07/02-07/08. If only I knew ordering this truck was going to be this shit show, I would not have bothered with ordering the truck, and should have kept my 2015 Mustang GT PP.

Another month has gone by, and Ford has FAILED once again. New ETA is "pending update" whatever that means. This is now the 4th time the truck has missed the ETA. Tracker is only showing built date of 05/30/24. I will not waste my time contacting Chat or dealer for an update. Both have been useless these past 6 months. The second RCSB I ordered in March from another local dealer has not even been scheduled for assembly, not even a VIN has been provided. I'm starting to suspect this is all intentional from greedy corporations. Supply and demand to keep prices high.

On 05/01/2024 I placed nonrefundable deposits on two RSCB's, a F150 and a 1500 Silverado, haven't heard a word from either manufacturer excluding a same day order acknowledgement from Ford.

Update : On 07/19/2024 Chevy cancelled my order, had to resubmit as a 2025.

I've been watching dealer inventory near me. Lots of trucks arriving with blend dates in June. Several with higher trims, e.g., Lariat 502 and higher, with the equipment that is supposed to be holding up customers who have ordered trucks months ago. Seems strange that Ford is prioritizing builds for dealer inventory ahead of customer orders that have had excessive waits.

Updated to "Built" this morning. If only Ford would just let me drive the 3 hours to pick it up. Got to do that for our Volvo when stationed overseas, it was amazing.

I have been saying this since I picked up my 24' XLT 302A a month ago. They had over 200 XLT'S and almost 30 Lariats on the lot when I was shopping. Unless you're looking for a King Ranch, limited, single cab, or 6.5 bed XLT you'd be able to find what you want here in Metro Detroit. Oddly enough my dealership still has two 6.5 bed Lariats. Yeah only a few Platinums, but they were nicely equipped. A lot of them are PB's or 2.7's. 3.5 and 5.0 not as common. Trucks are not flying off their lot.

And the way Ford is doing packages now... even the dealership mentioned how unless you want something really specific or rare you really don't need to order right now. What is sitting on the lot is what sells. They always see the biggest delays with the Platinum, King Ranch, and Limited.

I'm not a fan of Suburban, but they even had more trucks.

I know it will be hard but here is the best thing to do. Go to Youtube and watch cat videos. Soon, before you know it, you will get a notice that your truck is ready to go.

The old saying "The watched pot never boils" got to be an old saying for a reason.

Good luck and it will be any minute now. You are going to love that Lariat 502a PB. Mine is a dream.

Congrats, Sean! Another Lariat with a HUD. Maybe there is still hope after Ford finally admitted the HUD was a constraint this past week. I'm beginning to wonder if mine will roll over to MY25.
