Great mods. If you were purchasing a new compressor today with your Powerboost, would you go with the same model ARB or something different?

I wanted a relatively clean mount for my camper rearview monitor. I tapped into the 12V power outlet. I got to take some stuff apart today, lol.

Ha, ha... LOVE the old Simpson VU Multimeter! My $400.00 Fluke doesn't hold a candle to a good old Simpson.

Absolutely I would get the ARB again. It just plain works, over and over with no drama. Pricey but worth it!

Today I took off the "4x4" stickers and the "Powerboost" emblems, to clean up the outside a bit.

Whoever at Ford came up with the adhesive for the Powerboost emblems should get employee of the year. Those emblems will be the absolute LAST thing to fall off these trucks. What a PITA.

Anyway, I was able to save one of them and I kinda like it here... My youngest daughter helped with the decision!

Opinions are welcome- I have thick skin, lol.

I like the Powerboost badge in the console, fits great it looks like.

Hey there!

First thing I did was install my trusty ARB compressor. It's been through 4 vehicles over the years. Originally used to air up after offroading, now I use it to keep my camper and boat tires up to pressure.
This install was neat, in that it fit into the jack holder, behind the 40% rear seat with just a little modification. The foam keeps it nice and quiet. Plus the second battery is right there to power it up. That battery is plenty for that little compressor. I moved the jack behind the 60% rear seat back.
Can you give a little rundown on the wiring of this compressor to the second battery?

The ARB Compressor wiring harness is extremely large and complex. I completely gutted it and used their wiring to make a simple harness. On the front of the compressor I mounted a relay and push button switch to power it on and off.

As far as wiring to the battery, The +12v 10 gauge lead from the compressor connects to a 40 amp circuit breaker and the other side of the circuit breaker connects to the battery +12v terminal. The Negative lead from the compressor is grounded under one of the mounting bolts. Very, very simple once you get past ARB's birdnest of a harness.

That looks really neat! Kudos to your daughter!
What did you use to remove the FX4 stickers and the powerboost emblem?
I will be getting an agate black PB with BAP.. These will stick out on it..
Ford doesn't know how to do BAP like Ram!
