SO I've had my 2023 STX 4X4 about a year and don't drive too much at night- but man these lights are NOT doing it for me lol. I need something brighter BUT the LEDs, I am just not sure as I have stock halogen in there right now- NOW here's the other problem I see no difference in the low beams or when I have it on the "A" headlight setting. Now I have gone to the settings and toggled the on and off and there's just no difference- Also my supposed to get brighter lights in the dark? Nope. Should I take this into the dealer? OR am I just missing something. Thanks in advance - Vic in Utah

I can't answer if LED's can be installed in your STX, but regarding the "A" setting vs manual, all that does is automatically turn on your headlights when it gets dark. It does nothing to make your headlights brighter.

The "A" light setting is based on a night sensor (darkness) that does exactly that and turns lights ON, including parking aid lights. I suspect your issue is having Halogens. Perhaps not the brightest by residing inside a huge plastic "dome."

Have you compared your lights next to another STX, same spec, etc.?

I think halogens will always be a bit dimmer and more yellow than LED headlights.
I'm fine with the LED's in my XLT. Not sure if they are a drop in replacement with the STX, though.

Regarding the lights on all the time in Auto, make sure you have that feature in your STX trim package. Although if you didn't have it, I would expect it to not be an available position on the headlight dial. Also make sure the ambient light sensor isn't blocked by anything.

On my 22 the A is auto as stated above. Nothing for brightness. In A it will auto high beam on and off depending other lights on the road. It picks up head lights coming at you and tail lights in front of you to turn off high beam.

I don't think the auto-high beams are an option on non-LED headlight fairings (STX). Also, they're only operational above 25mph as well.

I went to the dealer today and They really had no idea what I was talking about the service manager said the parking lights were the DRL and had no idea why my low beams were on all the time in A mode- We had a laugh together as he has an older truck w/o DRL and I've NEVER had DRL on a vehicle- I just hate when thing that are supposed to work don't-
