I bought a Kicker Key 200.4 amplifier for my truck. What is a reasonable price for installing? Thanks in advance

Where in "America" are you located?

Yes, it can make a BIG difference.

Given regional labor cost variations, it might be better to ask how many labor-hours you should expect for the project.

I'll offer a totally wild-ass-guess of 4~6 hours for a competent / careful turnkey hardware installation that doesn't leave you with scratched interior panels or broken panel clips. You're gonna also pay for wire, fuse, and other miscellaneous bits needed to get power to the amp from somewhere in the truck.

Figure more hours if you want the installer to run the 'tuning' routines supported by that amp to optimize its SQ (Sound Quality) potential in your truck.

Again, just a WAG.

Not that I'd recommend using them, but if you're near a Best Buy, see if the Goon Squad will give you an estimate for the installation itemized as labor hours + parts.

I offer a plug & play Harness for that amplifier that only requires the power wire to be connected to the battery and grounded and will not cut any wires or void the factory warranty

Nice, a few crimp connections are eliminated. The main value I see in your kit is that it makes it easier if one wants to later remove the amp and restore the truck to OE with no amp (no need to restore the OE harness cuts with crimps).

I doubt that the use of your kit would meaningfully change / reduce the turnkey charge by a commercial installer, the small reduction in crimping time labor cost would likely be offset by the hardware cost for the kit. IMO the majority of the installer's labor cost is in the dashboard trim removal, routing / connecting the power wire, mounting the amp itself, and reinstalling the dash trim. Your kit doesn't change any of that effort.

BTW, cutting the OE harness does not "void the factory warranty". No matter how an aftermarket amp is installed (cut or no-cut), the OE warranty remains intact except to the extent that the aftermarket amp itself, or its connection to the vehicle power system, causes a problem (federal law, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, consumer protection relating to aftermarket mods).

I bought form Plug and Play and am very happy with the products and instructions on the install. I got the same amp with a kicker sub. A little pricey but it all fit and worked as advertised, worth the money!
