Which I've personally been hesitant to do because sometimes the truck is so quiet I don't know it's "on"...LOL

Great option for those with pets they may want to stay in the truck for a period of time.... Or if you want to take a nap in your truck :)
I'm the dog in the truck often enough. :)

Although I specifically purchased the Powerboost because of the sudden press it got nationwide after "The Texas Freeze", it turned out that the ability to keep the cabin comfortable and 100% functional while the ICE was off that stole the show. I don't know why I hadn't even considered it beforehand? I suppose because Ford markets the generator with their impressive Ads, but never mentions the other attribute?

It's become my office away from the office. Or put another way, I don't need an office like I used to. It's truly been a lifestyle change.

When I go camping with the family and the dog, we stop in a Mexican restaurant on the way back home. In the past with our old truck, we would take her out and set a tarp in the back under the truck in the shade with a water bowl. Now, that we have the PowerBoost with the 7 Kw generator, I put it in Utility Generator mode and leave her cool in the truck, I did think about the "concerned citizen" problem breaking my window to "save" her. I probably would put a note out if the small restaurant was not the only thing in the area. I like it because my key is with me and can't move until it is put back in the truck's ignition.

It is a one of two modes you can put the Generator into use with the PowerBoost. That way you can leave the truck unattended with the key removed in generator mode to keep powering your house or campsite or job site. So you don't need to worry about someone driving off with your truck. With the Utility Generator Mode you can also keep your AC in use in the cab , if you choose to keep an animal comfortable left alone in the desert heat or you can sleep inside etc.

my previous dog had severe separation anxiety. She was destructive in the most expensive ways possible and needed to be crated at all times when left alone at home until she was about 8 or 9 and just wanted to sleep half the day.

my current one is barely out of the puppy stage and still wants to chew stuff that shouldn't be chewed and try to gulp down objects that could lead to an emergency room visit. Gonna be another year at least before I trust her.

I crate every time I leave the house and the dog has to stay home. but if I'm making a couple quick stops at stores that aren't dog friendly it's nice to be able to take her and leave her in a locked running truck for a minute with ac on rather than crate her yet again. In this scenario all they want to do is watch for me til I come back.
