Ended up going to my body shop and I'm going the have them paint match them for me along with my front grille. Oddly enough the price to paint match my mirrors was CRAZY expensive! so I'm skipping that for now, and just doing those parts.

One day my plan is to locate some smooth mirror caps and paint to match my truck.
I am going to try the rattle can method with factory paint /clear. I believe I can do it and make it look pretty decent.

I'm sure its not too difficult to do. I just prefer to let them do it, so then if there is an issue they will address it to resolve it.

I hear you...wouldn't be the first thing I thought I could do but ended up screwing it up haha...at least i will have my old black ones to put back on.
