Adding Co-Pilot Assist 2.0 with Forscan?

it's an xlt but no 360 camera. I had to wire it. 4 wires from sensor to plug under dash.

Double check your pin out, if it’s right then double check your IPMA values. There’s a change that needs to happen to enable power to the CCM. If you missed it, the CCM will never communicate.

Ok, I couldn't stand it, updated forscan to 2.3.51 and went back out there... and progress! It did write to all modules. Now I still don't see the CCM, so trying to figure that out. I did restart forscan, not loading a profile, but still doesn't see the ccm

You need to enable the radar sensor in the IPMA most times for the CCM module to even show up, so enable that, run a fresh connection scan then see what shows up.

Ha thanks, just like to mess with things more than the average person I guess and I can't leave sh*t alone, @Jesse-Infotainment and @JaHoova are right there with me.

Realistically this is a very easy add, I'd give it a maybe 3/5 on a difficulty scale, with 80% of the work being done in Forscan, so if you are fluent and good with it, or have a buddy that is, you'd be set. You just need to add the front radar sensor and then then depending on your trim level, a harness to connect it. A LOT of changes, tinkering, and calibrations need done in Forscan to enable everything, but if you take the time to work through it works just like it did if the truck was built with it.

Currently I haven't even added the steering wheel buttons. The ACC distance is currently set to 3/4 bars on my truck, which this can be modified in Forscan as well, and I haven't had a desire to change it yet. Mainly due to where I drive its just right. I do have the correct switch to put in there if I get bored some day, which I might, but works all the same without it as well.

I ordered my 22 with 2.0 Assist, but when they removed "Connected Navigation" I lost the Assist without knowing about it until the truck arrived. Very disappointed.

Normally I wouldn't dig into a brand new truck, but it was hit in my driveway 16 days after I got it and the damage, though close to 20K won't be enough to total loss it. The accident makes me feel like mucking with things might not be the worst thing.

However, I bought a pretty long ESP from Ford. How does that affect things? Do I risk "getting caught" and having them void the warranty? I'm already going to have to deal with a bunch of parts being covered by the repair shop and my insurance company and not the ESP, so I don't want to put myself in a position where I eff up my expensive warranty.

That said, I have XLT 302A with 360 cameras and max tow. It sounds like it's a pretty simple add hardware wise and then learning Forscan.

This thread is HUGE now though. Is there a step by step guide for someone with my build?

There is even a simple mode for the IPMA now finally in Forscan, check that and make sure everything for adaptive cruise and front radar is enabled there too just to double check. If it is, I'd then double check your wiring out at the CCM connector, make sure your getting 12V, ground and ~2.5V on both CAN wires. Where did you source your CCM module from?

I didn't change anything else in the ipma, hopefully I wasn't supposed to, but did do all the other changes in the other modules if that's what you are asking. I'll re-do all that this morning and see if there's anything listed in simple mode I can turn on. If not, I'll check wiring with meter, thanks for the info on that. The module is new from varsity ford parts.

Ok, didn't find any changes missed, but do have a question with one... there is a start / stop enabled setting in the IPMA. Is that for ACC or should that be disabled? My truck doesn't have the Start/stop fuel saving stuff. When I try turning that off I get an incompatible configuration DCT.
Still no CCM listed, so I checked the plug with a volt meter. With the plug facing me, clip to the left, Starting at top left pin and going down I have +12V, .03V, 3V, and ground. I assume the .03V is a problem, and hope I don't have the plug flipped or something. I'm checking my wiring now for the .03V pin

One thing I am seeing is when I first enable it says speed recognition not available, but it works once I pass a sign. I'm not sure if that is normal or not. I did see that it is set to use map data + camera in the settings, but If I try to set it to just camera it disables collision assist and shows a DTC.
Oh, the problem was a bus signal pin was not all the way seated. The voltages I needed to check for were helpful.

The speed limit shows up and the warning works, just doesn't adjust speed. I saw something on that earlier in the thread, I'll look for it**

Yea you’ll need to keep that turned off in Sync to avoid the error. Will need a navigation capable APIM for that to work.

@angrycookieman Good deal, glad to hear you got it working. I was actually just playing with that map + data and vision only setting here recently on mine and my buddies 22, and in both as soon as you change it to vision only she doesn't like it and you get the error, so stuck with the map + vision setting. Then like XLT22 said, the only way we've found to remedy it and make IACC work like its meant to is to install a nav capable APIM. On my buddies 22 we did have it to where TSR was working and the seen speed signs would show up in the IPC, but no IACC and we were fighting his bad second hand used CCM as well.

Yeah, can confirm IACC will work if you swap your APIM with a nav equipped one. It’s worth it in my opinion.

Yeah, it's already like magic to see the speed limit show up after passing a sign, lol..
So If swap the APIM do I get nav back as well?
