Just added the CHMSL part number NL3Z-13A613-A, bought directly from Ford parts. New lamp and camera comes with the wiring and just plugs in. This is a 2023 Tremor mid with 360 camera package, but had the CHMSL removed when built.

Made these changes with FORScan
APIM
7D0-01-01 xxxx xxxx xD--
7D0-01-03 xxxx xxxx xF--
7D0-01-04 xxxx Fxxx xx-

IPMA
706-02-02 xxxF xxxx xx--
706-03-01 40xx 04xx xx--

I did not re-calibrate the BCM LIN. I did mistakenly re-calibrate the IPMA Local Interconnect network new module calibration (which ran successfully and the center line appeared on the bed cam view). All appears to be working OK.

However I am now seeing an active DTC

Code: B1578 - Digital Park Assist Camera Vision System

Additional Fault Symptom ( :78):
- Alignment Or Adjustment Incorrect

Status (-2F):
- DTC Present at Time of Request

- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC

Module: Image Processing Module A

So, anyone able to help me understand what might need to be done to correct this. I did try to run the BCM Local Interconnect network new module calibration but it failed.
All appears to be working OK with the bed cam (and all other cameras), but not sure about this active DTC.

Any luck with any of these?

1578 is 360 camera calibration.

You have to run a 360 cam calibration to get rid of it

Ill try that, thank you!

Did you have any issues getting the Brake light/Cargo Light to turn on? The camera is working for me, but neither of the lights are.

Make sure the small plug at the light is inserted. There were no changes for the light

Thanks for confirming. I figured it might be and have tried a couple times to use FORScan to re-calibrate but so far not been able to get it to complete. I guess I need to keep looking for that perfect parking lot with enough space and nice fresh straight lines....or just get Ford to do it next time it is serviced.

Not yet. Been waiting for some fine weather and to find a big parking lot with clear lines to try it again.
It's a hidden DTC so unless I go into FORScan I don't know it's active, has no impact to daily driving.

I haven't made any changes in FORScan yet, but when I went to plug in my CHMSL, none of the lights worked. Does that mean it's no good? I got it used off FB so obviously isn't brand new, but it looked to be in good condition.

Any thoughts? Can I make the FORScan changes regardless if the lights work or not, to check the camera is working? Then maybe look for a different housing?

Hello Fam,
I am trying to get CHMSL on my 2023 F150, STX. I do have the CHMSL connection, which I retrieved from under the headliner, and I purchased a Morimoto third brake light, as well as a Camera from Ford on eBay with the original Ford packaging. I did the APMI & IPMA config. as per the post from the forum. I can see the option to select the camera on the screen, and when I press the camera, I can only see a blank screen. Can I get some guidance, please?

For the lights, check the following:
BCM: 726-30-02 xxxx xxxx x*-- is set to 0 and
BCM: 726-48-02 xxxx x*xx xx-- is set to 4 or 5.

You can make the camera changes independently of the lighting changes.

Have you tried running the IPMA Local Interconnect network new module calibration in FORScan service procedures as above? If you do and it fixes the camera image, you may then need to do the camera calibration as above.
