My 2023 came with a single USB Data Jack in the dash under the radio. I'd like to connect a Vais Sirius module inside the dashboard. It must plug into the USB port. I don't want this to show externally and I don't want to occupy the only USB jack continuously.
Can anyone suggest how I can add another USB Data Jack internally? Maybe splice the harness? Then I can plug in the Sirius converter internally and not see the jack... I've spent hours looking over Ford's wiring diagrams without much luck.
The "Audio Aux. Jack Interface Module" which the Ford's name for the jack on the dash is feed by two plugs. One is a USB from the radio, which I assume sends data, and the other is a four-conductor plug (which only uses three conductors). That one may be for power?
Has anyone done this or added a USB Data input jack elsewhere?
The truck ( a police SSV) came without a console, so I can't relocate the console jack...
