Hello guys.
May 23 2025 I flew from CA to Corwin Ford in Nampa Idaho to buy a CPO ‘23 F150.
Upon arrival and checking out the truck I noticed the tires weren’t in the best condition but did t think much about it as I planned on buying tires and leveling it.
Well upon further inspection I noticed it already had a 2” leveling puck. Cool saves me some trouble.
Everything was fine until I started getting ready for a 4,000 mile road trip we are about to take. I bought 275 70 18 cooper at3 and figured it would be wise to verify the alignment just incase it’s off I don’t want to trash brand new tires.
Well last Friday I drop it off for an alignment. Hour later I get a call. The lower a arm bushings are slightly cracking, it needs a cam bolt kit to get it aligned and they can’t do any of that until they recalibrate the ADAS. They say the leveling kit has created that issue.
New a arms, cam bolts Adas recalibration and alignment quote $1300!!
I’m thinking I’m getting hosed it’s a CPO that I just bought!
So I go get a second opinion. He said arms are not much of a worry. Agrees it needs cam bolts or an upper arm to get it into spec and it does need Adas recalibration.
Have any of you had this ADAS issue? How did you fix it?
Truck goes in tomorrow morning to local dealer. I have a feeling they will not cover it.
Dealer I bought it from said bring it back. That’s 1,000 miles away….
