Hello guys.
May 23 2025 I flew from CA to Corwin Ford in Nampa Idaho to buy a CPO ‘23 F150.
Upon arrival and checking out the truck I noticed the tires weren’t in the best condition but did t think much about it as I planned on buying tires and leveling it.
Well upon further inspection I noticed it already had a 2” leveling puck. Cool saves me some trouble.

Everything was fine until I started getting ready for a 4,000 mile road trip we are about to take. I bought 275 70 18 cooper at3 and figured it would be wise to verify the alignment just incase it’s off I don’t want to trash brand new tires.

Well last Friday I drop it off for an alignment. Hour later I get a call. The lower a arm bushings are slightly cracking, it needs a cam bolt kit to get it aligned and they can’t do any of that until they recalibrate the ADAS. They say the leveling kit has created that issue.
New a arms, cam bolts Adas recalibration and alignment quote $1300!!

I’m thinking I’m getting hosed it’s a CPO that I just bought!

So I go get a second opinion. He said arms are not much of a worry. Agrees it needs cam bolts or an upper arm to get it into spec and it does need Adas recalibration.

Have any of you had this ADAS issue? How did you fix it?

Truck goes in tomorrow morning to local dealer. I have a feeling they will not cover it.
Dealer I bought it from said bring it back. That’s 1,000 miles away….

There is a routine in FDRS to set the fender height.

There are hundreds of us on the forum with leveling kits and none of us had to have ADAS recalibrated. In most cases you can align our trucks without using adjustable cam bolts but having them will make aligning way easier. In my opinion you don't need to do anything with ADAS, id examine those bushings and start there.

Let's focus on your LCA bushings, are they damaged or not? If there is any damage at all go ahead and swap them out. If they are cracked or worn this will make it harder to align.

Without seeing your truck in person it sounds like the previous owner installed the pucks and never aligned the truck after. Who knows if the bushings were damaged or not during the install.

Are you happy with how the truck drives and handles? If not now is the time to swap out any suspension components either shocks or even a set of coilovers!

Truck drives ok. Aarm bushings don’t look terrible. Problem is nobody will touch the alignment.

Pics are great, thanks for posting. Bushing looks torn/ripped in the one pic? If it is ripped or torn it's going to throw your alignment way off. Also, it's only going to get worse over time.

I was thinking ADAS was something different, they will have to adjust that for the steering. However, that should be included in the alignment cost. I really hope they're not trying to charge you hundreds of dollars to have this done.

Pending what the dealer says tomorrow find you a good local off-road shop... I bet they can take care of you.

$600 for the Adas recalibration that quote was from a normal auto repair facility and a off-road shop.
