I received promotional emails which offered a decent discount on accessory parts. Perhaps others here as well.

As it turned out, I was in the market for the plastic bed liner tray (not the full drop-in). But when ordering, the website requires persons to select a Ford dealership to complete the purchase and pick up the part. And the 3 nearest dealers in our area of SoCal weren't among the options provided. I even tried to make the purchase using different home address zip codes and still no luck.

Are these promotions limited to participating dealers, or are there some other restrictions afoot ?

In any case, the discount wasn't worth a 2 hour round trip when accounting for our wonderful traffic. Ended up supporting my local dealer and now have the tray liner. Very much like the impact protection and the ability to slid landscaping blocks and rocks across the bed.

When I order the Ford website always asks for me to input the zip code so it can find the local dealer. Depending on the size/weight of the package seems to determine whether Ford will ship direct to you or you have to get it at a local dealership.

Back to dealers. The "closest local dealer" always only shows the "main" dealership of the company that owns the Ford (and Dodge) sub-dealerships. That one is far from me. So when I order I pick that one (because Ford says it the closest) and then get in touch with the actual local (sub)dealership to arrange shipment to that location.

Does that help? Make sense...?

When I spoke to a Ford CSR about my closest dealer not being on the list, they stated its voluntary for the dealers to participate.

Retired and not looking. I am driving the wife crazy.
When I have ordered I could always ship to my local dealer. I'm guessing he is small because he doubled the size of the dealership when he remodeled the Men's room.

I don't mean to hi-jack this thread, but thought posting here would be better than starting a new one.

Just after Thanksgiving I got a Black Friday discount code via email. When I tried to use it via the link in the email, it said it was invalid. So I called support and they started a ticket. On Dec. 18 I got a replacement code and same thing, it won't work.
So I call support again to hopefully just order by phone and nope no phone orders.

Here is what I found out.

There are apparently there are 2 websites that my Ford account will login to and they both also keep track of Ford points and the vehicles in "my garage"

FordParts.com actual web address is https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us has slightly different items and the discount code doesn't work on that website.

The other accessories website is accessed via ford.com that ends up taking me here https://www.ford.com/accessories and then at check out to https://accessories.ford.com/cart

The discount code does work on the second website, but that website of course has slightly higher prices and doesn't offer exactly the floor mats I want.

What is frustrating is that the link that was provided in the email with the replacement code takes me to the first website where the code doesn't work.

When I was on the phone with support he explained that yes there are 2 websites, but the code only works on the one. I told him that makes no sense especially since the link in the email takes me to the website that won't take the code and also had the support number I called you on.

I initially had front and rear mud guards for my F150 for 54/pair and some floor mats for my son's Mustang for 126 with free shipping to my home all of which I was expecting a 25% discount.

On the website that will take the code, the mud guards were 60/pair and floor mats were 205.

I did start a chat with the website that has the floor mats I want (where the code won't work) and am trying to get a work around for a code that will work on that website.

I also noticed that each website doesn't have the same dealers listed as "local".

Anyone else had any issues or have a work around?
