I think I’m ready to finally start with fdrs as well as forscan. I need to replace my laptop first though. Does it matter if it’s windows 11 home vs 11 pro? Also thinking a touchscreen might be a bit easier? Thanks

If your old laptop has windows 10, I would transfer everything to a new laptop, and use the old one for your truck.

Turn off any screen savers
Turn off power management
Disable SLEEP MODE

I used my old windows 10 laptop just for all my TRUCK STUFF and shut off or deleted any anti-virus, firewall ect. I only have 8GB of ram with no problems. I don't think a touch screen is needed.

My old laptop has issues and it’s really old and unreliable. I had an IT friend check it out to see about repairing it and it’s just too far gone. ?

I do not believe it matters.

No REAL benefit with the touchscreen. My "truck" laptop does have one (Windows Surface Laptop 3), but I can't say I've used it much while doing all my FORScan work.
