Has anyone here abandoned their build or are considering abandoning and getting a 2020 Model at year end with all these sales and incentives we are starting to see? I've toyed with the idea myself, even before ordering and honestly for me it seems like the only "upgrade" between the two year models is the technology. Wondering if it is really that big of a difference and if I should just go scoop up a 2020 with extra options that I wanted but not necessarily need and didn't add to my 2021 build. (Lariat vs Plat) (4x2 vs4x). They say time kills all deals and this waiting is certainly killing me.

I think about this all the time but my Lariat loaded out the door is 59K.
The 2020 Lariats I have saved are 55K with incentives. Not enough to make me switch personally. I really do like the 21 style and obviously interior is 10/10 compared to the 2020 that seems extremely outdated to me now.

I feel like the closer you get to the end of the year the dealers will be willing to go even lower off price. Also, before this year, I had no idea about the massage seats on the upper level trims and I have a lot of leg cramp issues on long trips. Not sure if it would help but certainly has me thinking.

I dont know if Ford will do a lot better discounts. The dealers around my area are running out of F150s. The biggest dealer in my area has 4.... four. My local dealer has ten, but they usually have 25 or so, they have more Rangers than F150s right now.

Hate to say it, but i'm considering the same. At this point I see a couple of Platinums/Limiteds out there 2020 that I think I could take a run at and have significant savings over waiting for the 21. But i'm going to hold out another couple of weeks and see if I can at least get a VIN. My order has the work surface and the powerboost, both of which seem to be hitting availability snags.

I decided to wait for the 2021 because nobody has an acceptable build of a '20. And they are only getting scarcer. I compromised and bought off the lot on my '17. Not doing that again.

I feel the same as others (for now). Not gonna lie, the instant gratification of picking up a 2020 may be nice, but the interior is such a drastic upgrade it’s hard for me to justify not waiting it out.

Specifically after an extended cab 8' box, v8, in the half ton ball park.
GM or Chrysler dont even offer it
If, and that is a big IF, there happened to be one on a lot here somewhere,
either in 2020 or 2021, it would most likely be an XL and that is not acceptable to me.
Base XLT is as low as I would consider going.
Ordered a mid XLT.
I really have no choice but to wait

I'm still keeping my Order but few months back I sold my 2017 XLT to Carvana for a crazy couldn't pass up offer.

Needless to say I needed a truck in a pinch! Well I Iooked around and found a super old leftover 2019 802A Loaded out Raptor that had a sticker of 72k down to 67K and that was including installed leveling kit and massive wheels and tires...
I fought dealer tooth and nail to include stock wheels which were so desperate they did...
Sold the aftermarket wheels and tires for 3k right away... and to my luck now that I'm going to use this for a trade on my 2021 Dealers are marking leftover 2020 Raptors again because ford won't have one for "2021 model year" fun truck and gets looks everywhere but for those of us who USE there truck... raptors a bit too much or at least not enough when it comes to 13mpg premium lol
