The older I get, the more I realize the advantages of NOT being fast paced at absorbing. I have to be very deliberate.

The world has now reached a pace that would be too taxing for me if I didn't have a healthy Ignore button.

Or put another way, if you are wired to want to know everything that is presented and/or available, how would you sleep?

I organize things where they're there when I want them. It's a one way street in that my phone is my tool for ME to access the world, not the other way around. Far too many are leashed to it in a very troubling way. No apps, no notifications, no voicemail, restricted incoming list. I may take a peek at social media every 2-3 days. I don't communicate through it, I don't use its apps, I've got a lot of sites blocked at my firewall edge to prevent their typical tracking techniques.

At the same time I have certain days where I'm off the grid entirely.
