What Is Happening?
The powertrain control system has detected a fault with the high voltage Battery Temperature Sensor.
What Should I Do?
Have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer as soon as possible.

Take it to the dealer as it says. It could be a faulty sensor or maybe its a false code but let your dealer determine that plus your truck should be under warranty.

Let's be clear: that battery is a Lithium type battery. If thermal runaway might be possible it can be bad. Get the dealer involved, even if you're out from under the warranty.

I realize that it requires a level of nerdyness to avoid the dealership if at all possible, but on my Powerboost I would verify the reported HVB temperature, as well as scan for the codes that triggered the alert.

I'd probably clear the code and see if it returns, or was just an anomaly. Only if it was to return would I hand my keys over to a service writer. ?
