Supposedly (unconfirmed), when you activate, it sends a prompt to the trucks screen. It stays there until someone 1) accepts it in the truck, 2) denies it, or 3) truck has cycled ignition 10 times after the activation request. Your fordpass app will tell you if it was accepted, timed out, or was denied. In any case, change in your activation status indicates some kind of activity with your truck on the other side.
I know I wasn’t a part of this build week, but my vehicle has finally arrived at the dealer. Sat at the rail yard in Chicago for 1 week. Made it up to Milwaukee within 24 hours after being loaded onto the road convoy. Hang in there for everyone still waiting on theirs to arrive!Once a train gets to the yard, it gets broken down. Cars are sorted by forwarding destination, then a regularly-scheduled 'switch' engine (just a mainline unit on switching duty, these days... there aren't many dedicated switchers any more) will take the cars for your destination (anywhere from a single car-carrier carriage to several dozen of the same, depending on the size of the yard and the traffic) to an unloading facility. I am guessing your truck is in a storage lot at an unloading facility already, and no longer in the rail yard or on a train. Railroads don't like to store cargo for a long time in the yard, since any damage while on the carriage is their responsibility... once the carriages arrive, it's in their interest to get the cargo offloaded to local facilities ASAP where it becomes someone else's problem.
Markham Yard is a fairly major Illinois Central (now Canadian National) intermodal facility, so I'm guessing they're offloading there rather than running you up on a train to Milwaukee and a smaller yard. So... I think you're likely in a large storage lot in or near Harvey, IL, waiting for a weekly/bi-weekly over-the-road run that will take your truck and several others up to your dealer (and maybe others) in your area. Now that we're off the railroad, I'm on less-sure footing, but based on what others have posted, it seems like Ford/Carriers are OK with trucks sitting in satellite yards up to a week before loading them, then they allow up to a week for the delivery (even though it doesn't always take that long) so... sounds like your truck got built into a train on or around 8/5. Probably take the train till early this week to get to Markham, a couple days at most to get to the unloading facility via switcher (i.e. right about now), then in the sattelite yard for up to a week (until the 18th or so), then off to your dealer to arrive sometime the week after?
Again, all guessing, but hey, it's all we've got right now until our dealer calls!

Woke to a change in tracker this morning. ETA end date moved also from 9/17 to 9/21
I have had the same status since 8/5, and that's what Ford Performance told me it meant when I chatted with them last week. I'm not sure I believe it 100%, though. My truck has an ETA Delivery window from 8/15-8/21, which we're now inside of. Maybe it will show up suddenly at the dealer on Wednesday... or maybe on Tuesday the ETA window will slide by two weeks. I guess we'll see, but I'll keep folks apprised either way.

I'll probably put everything on the '21 that will fit (tires/wheels, tonneau cover, stubby antenna, and weather techs). In addition, I plan to add a level kit, tint, Line-X, and Katzkin leather to the new truck. I realize this is a bit off topic, so please forgive me. ?

Yes, it's got a Freight Bill, but it's 'pending', though to be honest, I don't expect Palsapp to tell me too much, since my dealership is just a couple hundred miles down the road from Dearborn, and my truck (which is coming by convoy since its so close) is probably going to by 'same-day shipment', or next day at worst, once it finally ships, so by the time Palsapp tells me anything, it may already be there (or nearly there).
