Thanks brother. I check every morning, afternoon and night. I drove around my local Ford dealer last night to quench my thirst. A few XLT's and Lariats but they have dealer markup on them. My kids enjoyed playing with the tailgates though.

Right there with you, though it's my dogs in the truck rather than kids. I go by a dealer about twice a week, usually after-hours so I won't get hassled by sales guys, and look at whatever new trucks are there. Then I get back in the old truck, and my brain always says the same thing: "Someday... but not today!"

Just an FYI, my sticker says CONVOY but my dealer confirmed it is sitting on ramp 58 waiting on a train. I'm in Louisiana so stands to reason it would travel by train.

I just read a post from the f150forum indicating some things:

1. It appears some trucks are trucked to nearby rail depots - maybe that's the reason some are going rail but indicating convoy
2. Ford does direct convoy to dealerships within a ~300mi radius of the plant. If you're outside of 300mi from your production plant, it's likely going via rail

Not speaking from any bit of authority here.

For those with post-production add-ons (ex. tonneau, spray-in, work surface, moonroof(?)), I wonder if those were installed during microchip hold purgatory; or if they had to wait for the microchip addition first.

Don't know. Probably not. Wasn't sure. I may be confusing parts that had long leads earlier this year with those installed after production.
