Just got home from the dealer. They have been a good group of guys to work with. My truck does show as shipped on their end but instead of a rail car number, it says Diverted. They were honest and said they were not sure what that meant. They think it's just waiting to be assigned to a rail car number but who knows....just another mystery in the chain!!!!

Another difference is the dealer is showing an estimated delivery date of 10/5 but the online Ford tracker says 10/25. The 10/5 date would be more in line with standard 14 to 16-day shipping estimates that other trucks coming to my dealer have taken. I'm just glad things are moving.

well, the FP guys say "it does look like your truck is moving by train" and "is currently moving through Mevindale, MI".... Melvindale is a Detroit suburb, and seems to be notable for it's switching yard:
Ford F-150 8/2 Build Week 1632252335861

Which features a lot of auto transport railcars and this vehicle staging/loading area:
Ford F-150 8/2 Build Week 1632252455641

and ramps!
Ford F-150 8/2 Build Week 1632252626840

so by "moving through" I'm guessing it means "got loaded into a railcar". But whatever, it's massive progress!!!
<edit> Silly me, Melvindale is immediately adjacent to DTP. </edit>

And for those of us with Dearborn Trucks that are still waiting....

Behold! This parking lot is the infamous Ramp 59, where trucks wait on Chip Hold. If you're a Dearborn truck on Chip Hold, odds are, your truck is waiting here....

Tried cache clear, and using incognito mode... still in production  lol. Glad to see you all are getting movement. Week is still young, so I'm hopeful.

Just an FYI, my sticker says CONVOY but my dealer confirmed it is sitting on ramp 58 waiting on a train. I'm in Louisiana so stands to reason it would travel by train.

I vaguely recall now, a post in another forum stating some window stickers showing convoy could be rail+convoy. So, your dealer probably has the best authoritative info in their VVR.

I imagine Ford could be changing transit methods around to meet delivery pressures; given trucks are coming out of both the factory and ramp 59 fields now.

My next theory as to why a subset of trucks were built: Ford had railcar commitments they needed to fulfill so the trucks that would fill those cars got built.

Possible. Mine, I believe, is convoy the whole route. Maybe the same exists for convoy contractor commitments. (Still in "awaiting shipment" status here as of today). Hard to discern.

I would gladly make the 2hr trip north to alleviate Ford's shipping pressure. :)

Another of my theories shot to hell :D

Everything coming my way is via convoy. Needed to give myself a reason that made sense.
