Today marks 6 months since my order. I just called Ford marketing to complain, bombarding them with calls is certainly not going to make them ignore the parking lot trucks more. The friendly rep said they were starting '22 production next month! Haven't seen anything elsewhere to confirm that, not sure if she was mistaken or not.
I reached my 4 month wait-since-ordered earlier this week and today I phoned Ford Customer Service @ 800 392-3673 to try to find out HOW they are determining ETA delivery dates of October 31 (or in my case, November 3) for trucks partially built then parked in April. I wanted to know how they rationalize 4 MORE MONTHS when there are now chips available.
Customer Service could only repeat that ETA delivery is 11/3/21; had no other info.
I asked HOW they determined that date, since it's > 4 months from now, and I know they have chips to build trucks.
They said they couldn't answer that; they are just the Marketing department.
They said I should speak to Ford Customer Relationship center, and they transferred me.
And it was the same conversation all over again. They could only state the Nov 3 date, and said they were limited to what was on their computer screen.
I asked him who I could talk to at Ford who could provide a more realistic date. I asked who his boss is. He said his supervisor has just the same information and apologized.
I told him I understand it's not his fault, and suggested he escalate internally at Ford that he needs more accurate information to do his job, since from my experience with him the "Customer Relationship" is deteriorating after speaking with him.

My Truck has arrived! Going to pick it up tomorrow.
Unfortunately the trackers are not very well updated, as it just went to 'Shipped' yesterday. During the In Production phase, my ETA went from 08/16 to 07/26 to 07/16, and even now that it is delivered is still estimating delivery for 07/10-07/16. So hopefully some of you all get as early as a delivery as I got.

Ordered 03/15
Blend 04/19
In Production 06/21
Delivered 06/29

You are the first one I have seen with that date. It's only 3 days past the majority of people's 10/31 so not a huge push backwards.

=> Does anyone know how to get above the "FORD REP" in the Ford organization to find someone with useful information?

Just curious as to what more "useful information" you are looking for? Your truck is produced and is missing certain semi-conductor modules to complete, much like many of us. I'm not trying to be snarky, I just don't know what additional information you are expecting.
I don't want to put words in his mouth, but for me useful information would probably be a better indication of when they expect the chips to come in, installed on the truck, and shipped to dealer. I can guarantee you Ford knows this information, they simply are not publishing it externally or even with their dealers.

I purchased my build in February, it was in production on April 22, and radio silence ever since.

I certainly understand that comment as I myself have been waiting since Jan 11th. Much like you, I was in production on April 28th and the only information I have is "Micro Chip Hold at Plant".

But.......I suspect Ford is really hesitant to provide any sort of timelines for the release of these trucks. Can you imagine if they released a schedule and then something else happened to affect supply? Another fire at the chip plant, weather related disaster, or some other unforeseen circumstance would wreck that schedule and make unhappy customers even more unhappy. My guess is that they determined that this process was the best they could do with the hand they were dealt.

They have enough chips to run the assembly lines making complete trucks now. If they decided to use those chips to complete the parked trucks, they would have enough. They are just not prioritizing them. Whoever made the decision to build incomplete trucks, park them for months and then start the assembly lines again without completing the parked ones should be fired and perhaps publicly flogged.

It is frustrating when you have emails from "Ford Executive Office" stating that this would not happen but it still did.

The decision to allocate the modules to assembly line trucks was done strictly for the bottom line. It VERY expensive to shut down the lines which is why they produced incomplete trucks. UAW works get paid 75 percent of their salary for sitting at home when the line shuts down. That's just one cost, there are many others. These decisions were made to maximize profits and or minimize losses. Was it the correct decision? That's debatable.

What is even more frustrating is seeing people ordering the same truck, or very similar a month or more after you have, and yet they are taking delivery in July and your truck has Oct 31st. Why is chip allocation not First In First Out. I know for a fact from other posts on f150gen14.com, some trucks are getting their chips right on the line and shipping immediately after being built. It make no sense and Ford should take their collective heads out of the sand and communicate what we all are seeing.

What does this entry for my ETA mean?
2/24 - ordered
3/31 - blend date
4/19 - in production
5/20 - original ETA
10/31 - current ETA

Dealer sent me the attached pic showing the ETA as saying “manual adjusted” …… what does this mean? Even the dealer was confused on that.

That truck started on the Line 6/21 and was completed. Different story than the trucks that were sent down the line week of 4/19 then parked.

My blend is 4/8, which was a shutdown week. It was then sent down the line 4/21.

My dates are very similar; 2/25 ordered, 4/3 Blend, 4/21 "production", 5/18 ETA to dealer turned into 10/31/21...and then 11/3/21...and a few days ago went back to 10/31/21.
I think "manual adjusted" means someone at Ford overrode the computer algorithm that spits out dates and so the ETA date is not based on anything real -- just someone at Ford's idea of a joke to tell us Trick or Treat.
Seriously, though, I think they are trying to 'manage our expectations.' Get us REALLY depressed that we have to wait 9 months from when we ordered, and then we will be "Happy" when Ford does better than 10/31/21 and we 'only' have to wait 7 or 8 months.

You are probably right. Have to say though, I'm not keen on accepting a truck that has sat outside, unstarted, unmoved, uncleaned for many months. Not a good look for Ford as it does very much seem like they have not figured out how to organize vehicles by date and instead just work on whatever happens to be on the line when the chips come in.
