In case your wondering if an F-150 fits on a U-Haul trailer

There are 2 sizes of uhaul car trailers. I suspect you had the smaller one, because if a rcsb is tight on a given trailer I doubt there's any way the 1975 cadillac eldorado I hauled on one would fit. I remember making sure I had the bigger of the two sizes when I was going to haul that one.

yea I think it was a 12’ trailer, I thought it was short.

Long story..but the weigh station guy just rolled laughing when he saw inside the truck

I went up to Tuscaloosa to buy a triumph spitfire. The uhaul guy said he couldn't rent me a trailer because he couldn't confirm my 3500 Duramax Dually could pull it.
Seems triumphs were never loaded into there database.

Luckily the hitch installer heard our conversation and told him to put in MG midget. He wasn't so thrilled that I had snaked the car out of his town. Seems he raced british cars.

Had the same issue with a '58 Volvo PV444. Small, light car but not in their database...so changed it to a Civic right in front of him and took the trailer with my 2011 F150 Ecoboost.

I don't remember whether I told them it was a '75 eldorado or not. I was pulling it with a uhaul 26' truck, so it probably didn't matter. Funny story with that-there was snow on the ground when I went to pick the car up. The guy I was getting the car from was not home, so when I got the loaded 26' truck with car trailer stuck in the snow in his yard there was no one there to help me get it unstuck. I ended up doing a bunch of shoveling. Backing it up, I got the still empty trailer mostly jacknifed behind the truck. I had to, it was the only path I could take that wasn't directly into more deep snow. So, I then cranked the cadillac up and found a combination of rope and chains to hook it to the back of the trailer. The fwd caddy pulled the trailer right round straight behind the truck. Now not jacknifed, it would almost, but not quite, back the rest of the way out of the snow. So I hooked the caddy back up to the trailer and pulled straight back. If I'd had a second person to drive the truck in reverse the caddy could have pulled the whole assembly back. Alas, I didn't have a second person. So, in reverse the truck went, invisible man in the seat, and back to the caddy I went. Idle in reverse plus the caddy pulling did it. It was free! So, I drove the cadillac up onto the trailer and that was that.

lol I actually was, it asked if I was towing a saved vehicle and my truck is saved as I use it to rent the motorcycle trailers. But the guy writing the order didn’t seem to care and I had to air the tires as they were all at 20psi.

No sir. Well, today there is just now 2 sizes as they just introduced a new trailer. But the AT's until a couple months ago were all one size and they are not rated for a lot.

I will say, looking online I can see no evidence of uhaul having two different sizes of car trailer (other than the brand new one mentioned above). Maybe I'm losing my mind...
