I picked up my Carbonized Gray 2022 Lariat 502A Supercrew at Granger on Friday. It was far and away the best car buying experience that I have ever had. They had my paperwork ready and wasted no time getting me back on the road. I walked in at about 2:30 and I was on my way home by about 3:00. Chip, Catelyn and Javan were all great.

I sent pictures of my trade-in and negotiated the trade value over the phone a couple weeks ahead of time. The "negotiation" with Zach was him asking what I wanted for my trade, me giving him a number and him pausing for a moment and then saying "yes".

The drive was 22 hours round trip and well worth it.

You can't leave us hanging like that, when did you place your order? We need to plug you into the overall equation now. Especially a 502A.

Also did you use KBB to figure out your trade? I always wondered how accurate their numbers were and I'd hate to be the guy shooting out a crazy number because KBB told me to.

@Granger Ford are you willing to share in round numbers what % this is of your total customer orders? Thank you for the intimation you have shared so far.
Currently that is about 30% of total unscheduled orders. Our list is ever growing however.

How many unscheduled are King Ranch/Platinums? Are you starting to see movement on those trims?

Ford bumps your priority down as the order gets older automatically. If you call your dealer they should be able to tell you what your order's current priority is.

Any insights to how long it typically takes to get to the dealer after it is shipped. Specifically curious about timing from the Dearborn plant
How far away is your dealer from Dearborn? Dealers in the same state can get a truck delivered in a couple of days. If you're up in Alaska, 2-4 weeks.

How far away is your dealer from Dearborn? Dealers in the same state can get a truck delivered in a couple of days. If you're up in Alaska, 2-4 weeks.
I also ordered from Granger and only a couple weeks after you, but I was still 19 last I checked....

I think it depends on a lot of different factors that can make it hard to estimate for sure. For me, it took about 3-4 weeks for it to go from SE Michigan to my dealer’s lot here in the Midwest. In the end, it didn’t show up till about a week or so after the estimated delivery date range provided by Ford in the ship notice.

I also ordered from Granger and only a couple weeks after you, but I was still 19 last I checked....
If you haven't made changes to your order you should be a priority 2 but you can check with ford chat I believe. I believe Granger puts all orders at priority 10 (even though your order sheet may have shown priority 19) but could be wrong. If you make changes to your order Granger has to move it back up to priority 10 in order to do so.

I believe Granger puts all orders at priority 10 (even though your order sheet may have shown priority 19) but could be wrong. If you make changes to your order Granger has to move it back up to priority 10 in order to do so.

It's my understanding that the priority number has only to do with getting an initial production-estimate date; that once we get a VIN and first production week date the priority number is out of the picture (moot) from that point forward - production is strictly a matter of sequence in the queue, parts availability, and backlog. Is that correct?

OR, all other things being equal, does a scheduled VIN with priority 2 suffer less risk of further delay than an already scheduled priority 10, 19, etc?

Bottom line - after our VIN is scheduled, is there any reason to ask the dealer to work with Ford to try to get a lower priority number (higher priority status) assigned? I do understand that the dealer can't unilaterally assign a priority number lower than 10 - that requires action by Ford.

I ask as one who got the email with my VIN and first scheduled production date back on January 6; I've been rescheduled 7 times since then; I have no idea of my priority number, if that still means anything at all.

I understand that and you certainly have my sympathy. Our situations are quite different, both in terms of vehicle specs and where we are in the process (unscheduled vs scheduled).

We're all suffering varying degrees of 'wait angst', I hope you understand my question has to do with my situation (and that of other scheduled folks) and isn't meant to discount your situation in the least.

We've all got to look out for our own best interests, that doesn't mean it's a 'personal' competition.

I wish everyone the best in getting their truck ASAP - every truck delivered is one less in the backlog as far as I'm concerned.

Priority numbers only affect the speed in which you get picked up for a build date and get assigned a VIN. Once you have a VIN, priority doesn't come into play.
