How old are some of your orders that have yet to be scheduled? I have an order through you from 12/7, trying to get a feel for where I'm at approximately.
I’m sure there are people with Granger orders older than mine but I placed my order in late November.

We really don't have a lot of influence on scheduling. After a certain amount of days in the system Ford will update priorities to status '02' once that is done those vehicles will be the top priority. If there are commodities restraining those, then it will go to a more recent order.

We still have some orders that were 21s that got cancelled and they placed a 22 order that doesn't have a VIN yet, generally speaking those are platinum and King ranch orders.

I don't have the list of orders in front of me currently, but my guess is 80% of the orders are from this year with the exception of those trims taking longer.
Is there a way to call Ford and see if your order has something holding it back from being scheduled? Im guessing people would then potentially be able to remove those items and have it hopefully get scheduled the next time they schedule correct?

Just a note hoping that all of the folks and families at Granger Ford are OK following yesterday's terrible storms in their area. ?

Yes, those change on a monthly basis so what's restraining now may not be restraining In a month necessarily.

Yes, the store is good and as far as I've heard all families are good as well. Thanks for the concern.

Glad you are all well. Heard bed utility package now holds things up. True?

I really don't know. We've received such few scheduled trucks because of microchip holds I haven't noticed a pattern.

Granger, did you receive a memo from Ford about a week ago regarding potential holdups? I stumbled across this video and it mentions said memo and current delays in ordering snowplow prep, onboard scales, auto stop start, and wheel well liners. It was not specific as to exactly what Ford said but mentioned scales as possibly putting you into a 2023. I have the scales on my build and would desire to know exactly what was sent from Ford. I only came by this info by chance and was also wondering if notifying affected customers is something I should be expecting from you? I can see that being burdensome but on the other hand, we all of course would like to be able to give consideration to these developments. My assumption is the info is accurate. Thanks.

I don't recall seeing a memo. It is possible I missed it.

The video is from a guy in Canada. It's possible that the memo to which he's referring only went to Canadian dealers.

Any insight on how the post sale shipping of chips/moldules would work for out of state buyers? Would we have to bring our vehicles back to IA or would the missing components be sent to the owner's local dealers?

Also curious if there's any details offered on how the queue for missing chips would work? My fear is Ford would prioritize building new/unsold vehicles over catching up on missing features for sold vehicles. Thanks!

As of now this only applies to Explorers with rear a/c control and doesn't affect f150's. Didn't seem like they would include more vehicles in the announcement but could happen. My guess is when the chips are available you can go to any Ford Dealership.

I'm 99.9999% sure it'll be like a recall repair and eligible to be repaired at any dealership when parts are available.
