It only took 410 days to build the Empire State Building...let that sink in for a minute.

It seems like one person working at the big three would have suggested that they forge a partnership to produce chips. Steal my idea, please!

The technology is there. Just build the freakin' factory already and be done with it. You will be forced into that decision when the CCP takes Taiwan in a few weeks. I hope I am wrong, but who is going to stop them?

They are way ahead of you on this. Easy web search to see what setting up a precision factory takes (HINT: years.)

Yep, and in the richest of ironies, manufacturing of some of the sophisticated equipment required to fabricate silicon chips is currently delayed by .... a shortage of silicon chips! o_O :ROFLMAO:

Chip foundries take billions of dollars and years of work to build, its not as simple as slapping some iron beams together with rivets; and with that kind of investment no one is rushing out to build new ones without being sure they'll have demand to make their money back within 10+ years.

Curious if you guys have any custom order incentives on other Ford Models? Do you just offer the 3% below invoice on F-150's? Wish I would of seen that you have a better deal on warranties as well. Didn't even think about getting a quote from you guys. Will keep that in mind next time around!

@Granger Ford any update on orders for the past 2 weeks? Have Lariat High trims slowed down? Mine has been on order since 12/24 and still no build date

Yes, we received some bad news on allocations for the month of March. For the second month in a row, Ford did not provide any more allocations for the F-150 to order nationwide. I'm sure this was in an effort to fulfill the microchip on hold trucks they have now.

Currently they've scheduled into April, if those projections hold true, new orders should start scheduling mid-April to May whenever scheduling opens back up. That being said, I believe we have 9 allocations left over from the January period yet to schedule, so we will have a few get VINs within the next 30 days.

If you have received a confirmation email from Ford that means your truck has been allocated is that correct?

You receive 2 emails. One when the order is submitted and one when it's selected for production.

Gotcha so the order confirmation email isn't saying it has been allocated, just that it is in a queue to be allocated and then scheduled?

Does Granger have any influence over which 9 get selected?

Also, any info on Expedition scheduling? Looking back at February or forward to March? Sorry to go slightly off topic of F150s..

How old are some of your orders that have yet to be scheduled? I have an order through you from 12/7, trying to get a feel for where I'm at approximately.

I would like to understand this as well. I know its like propreitary or whatever but understanding a chart with orders, by month, segmented by status (ie. ordered, allocated, in production, delivered etc) I don't know if Granger would be this transparent with us but it certainly would be cool information

We really don't have a lot of influence on scheduling. After a certain amount of days in the system Ford will update priorities to status '02' once that is done those vehicles will be the top priority. If there are commodities restraining those, then it will go to a more recent order.

We still have some orders that were 21s that got cancelled and they placed a 22 order that doesn't have a VIN yet, generally speaking those are platinum and King ranch orders.

I don't have the list of orders in front of me currently, but my guess is 80% of the orders are from this year with the exception of those trims taking longer.
