Likely not too common, but be aware of what to watch for per this TSB. This document was released to dealers yesterday by Ford. Excessive coolant consumption is going to be the tell all it seems.

This is interesting. My brother in law just got a new 5.0 xlt recently. At 1000km the engine started sputtering on the freeway and it was kapoot. The dealer told him it was the #1 cylinder and got ford involved. They offered to give him any comparable truck he could find and asked for a list of extras he wanted to negotiate for his troubles.

Why only HEV for Dearborn?

It may be a typo, since there are all ready confirmed delivery holds for non HEV Dearborn builds. I actually came across this first by a Tremor owner, and then saw it posted again on the Expedition forum (hence the highlights by an Navigator owner). He went in for service on Thursday and the service manager walked out with this and said “bad news”. Lol.

I bet it is a typo, but Dearborn is the only place the HEV is built.

Does anyone know between the lower window sticker date and blend date what would the build date be?

My powerboost has a lower sticker date of July 10th and a blend date of July 17th. Very close to the cutoff in that program.

I believe build date is when your order is started - ie loaded into the process. Blend date is when all the components for your truck come together.

Yeah I get that. As someone with max tow that is outside the CSP, I worry about the axle bolt going.

Be good to confirm with dealer next time in.

Isn’t there a mfg date on one of the door stickers? Blend date sounds like marketing so you feel like you’re following its progress. I could be wrong lol
