Okay guys - Looking for a bit of “high level” assistance: I received the same email many did on 04/07 that my order was delayed. I just checked and my truck is showing up on the FordPass app. I see a lot of other guys checking with Ford customer assistance and on third party sites tracking deliveries, although I don’t have the hours in my day to do such things. My question is simply, “Where am I at?” - Essentially having the truck show up on the app, but my online tracker still showing “In production” since 04/01. Many thanks in advance!!
Jim, this video might help get you started, as well as the other ones in the series.

We can do a pretty good job of tracking these things after build, but one critical piece that the dealer is best at sourcing is your rail car number via the VVR, or "vehicle visibility report."

Hope that helps. I'm rounding third and heading for home but my truck has been at the final railyard for about a week now, just waiting for that piggyback ride to the dealer. It's worse than waiting for Christmas morning when I was a kid, knowing that there was a big box under the tree.

It’s actually Antimatter Blue which is very difficult to tell is blue. I ordered back in October with no real idea what it was going to look like but am super happy. The fender badges look brighter in the picture than in real life.

I have a little info from picking up my truck. Paul Miller in Lexington Ky where I ordered from got a truck full of F150s Saturday and two waiting Sunday and two on Monday. It had 4 orders on them and the rest dealer stock My salesperson told me. (there are 4 Ford dealers in Lex )In the bunch was 4 Broncos 3, 4 doors and 1 2 door all 2.7L. The 2 door was a manual trans. I tried to buy it they said no. I Was back today at the dealer and all the Broncos had dealer plates on em. So I’d say FOMOCO is finally filling dealer stock. IT appears to me orders are suckin hind tit when it comes to chip module priority. I probably should’ve not spoke about it. Except I feel like if thats the case, fess up.
I do know the Dealer I used hasn’t had much new stock for a year. It’s gotta be lean times selling used cars.

My local dealer gates Ford has gotten 3 truck deliveries in the last 10 days. I gotta say all SC are XL And most screw are XLT and king Ranch. thats my on the ground observation for what it’s worth. speculation.
New cars money is mostly made on the back end of deals, could be how you were trying to buy (thats why most dealers could care less about cash offers on new vehicles, they want you to finace and other methods becausethey get kickback from ford worth way more than any cash offer would net in profit), or the fact they weren't able to sell them that day, or they are contracted with ford for "Demo" vehicles. Used cars money is made pretty much all on the front end with some back end incentives. With how the used car market is right now I'm sure they are fine with doing used cars. Also Screw is what most people want just look at the lightning for an example there is a reason they only made it in screw. SC XLs are cheap trucks so that's why they allocate those that way mainly like work-truck+. Ford is not trying to screw over anyone but custom orders are just that custom. It's much easier to put out certain trucks they have been planning for built how Ford wants them based upon what they have on hand to produce. Gotta remember Ford itself is also hurting trying to push out vehicles to have on lots because most sales are done with dealer inventory not custom orders. Sorry about my rant, thanks for coming to my TED Talk

I would say that makes allot of sense. You clearly know more than I about the car sales dynamic. I learned along time ago to save my money and go in with my numbers. Be fair about price and I usually got what I wanted. if I needed a car I was at the mercury of the dealership. They offered some real savings if I would use their funding.
The process was always a compromise usually less of a vehicle at a higher price, less down payment and higher payment With lower interest. I’m glad I ordered and got exactly what I wanted. 5 years ago it was almost impossible to order a low to mid F 150. I feel fortunate. I hope Ford survives the transition coming. I will support them And buy again when the cars are available. I also hope the dealer network survives it is a convenience to drive in and know there is a master tech in the building with access to the mothership to repair my 60k vehicle.
