Excited to really get this show on the road. Hopefully no delays ?

Placed order on 2/6 (seems I got very lucky on how quickly build got scheduled after that). I ordered from Chapman, but the one in NJ. Most everything else is same as yours. Window sticker shows blend date of 3/13. Tracking shows "in Production" on 3/13. Haven't registered as "built" yet. Refreshing every couple hours as I'm excited to see that change. My window sticker is showing "convoy". Is yours "convoy" or "rail"?so i placed an order with chapman ford on 11/22/22 (XLT supercab).
confirmation email from ford received on 11/29.
another email from ford on 2/9 saying scheduled for production week of 3/13. this email also has the link to track progress on the web, so i have been checking nearly every day. the web page did not show a build week, and no window sticker was available.
on 3/7 the web page showed planned build week of 3/14(?) and on 3/8 the window sticker was available.
today (3/15) web page has been updated to "built". no email yet stating the same.
no shipping info yet, but i hope they can figure out how to get it from kansas city to pennsylvania quickly. then i got to get it from PA to massachusetts.
i hope all goes well with your order. when did you place it?
Jim
Mine isn't built yet. Started 3/13. Hoping there's not a delay.mine is convoy as well. i have no idea how to track that. i got my "built" email on 3/16. estimated delivery now shown as 03/30/2023 - 04/12/2023.
i should have gone with NJ instead of PA, its a little closer.
plus being in Mass, chapman in PA won't let me drive home until it is fully registered. MA doesn't do temp plates. so my choice is:
A, drive down to inspect & purchase, drive back to mass to complete registration, drive back to pick up.
B, do a virtual inspection, purchase, complete registration process, then drive down to pick it up.
Frustrating because Massachusetts law allows me to transfer my current plate & drive for 7 days before completing the registration process. plus my insurer is fully on board, will provide proof of insurance once the purchase is complete. at present, option B appears to be preferred.
Why wouldn't you be able to do a temp plate? Is that a Massachusetts thing? My truck shipped on 3/16, made it to Chapman on 4/5. Now the excruciating process of purchasing, getting license plate etc remotely before i can go get it. The dealer suggesting this could take up to another month !?!?!?!? Being in Massachusetts doesn't help.
Can you do both? Just let Chapman put the temp tags on and put the old tags in the window or vice versa. If you get pulled over just tell the cop what the deal is and he will laugh and let you go.correct, mass does not issue temporary plates. it's also illegal for a mass resident to drive a vehicle in the state if it has a temp plate issued from a different state (can't use PA temp plates).
Mass does allow me to transfer my current plate (i have a 2011 F150 I'm replacing) & drive for 7 days before completing the registration process.
However, this violates a policy at Chapman, and they won't release the truck until it has tags.
seriously frustrating.
Ok. So what are you going to do?I would if I could. My insurance co is fully on board with the Mass 7 day transfer as well.
But Chapman won't give me the keys until it is registered. It is their policy which is stricter than Mass law.
