265/70/18 to 275/70/18 - MPG Loss

I recently went from the standard Goodyear 265/70/18 SL tires on my 2023 F 150 to 275/70/18 SL Nitto Terra Grappler G3. I know there is a slight tire weight increase but I went from 19.5 to 16.9 MPG. My driving habits haven’t changed

That’s 3 mpg loss not 18. Probably pretty normal

18 was referring to the wheel size

Play with air pressure but that’s not bad drop in mpg. Weight and rolling mass are the big factor

I think some change is to be expected but that’s pretty significant. Do you know the weight difference between the two tires? Did you recalibrate the speedometer with Forscan?

Which model of goodyear tire and what are the weights of each tire?
From what i can tell, you increased the OD 5%, you increased the width 4%, and you increased the weight by 40 % and you lost 13% MPG.
Seems normal.

Hmmm. This is what came on mine and so far, I've no intention of switching, when the time comes.

Nitto - 45.57 lbs
Goodyear - 36.88 lbs

I have not recalibrated
