24 3.5 engine chirp

Anyone else have a chirping noise on engine shut down with 3.5.. i only have 1200 miles on it and just notice this noise..

thanks for the reply.. i know its a common noise on the 6.7 ,but never heard on any previous 3.5 i have owned..

Could it be slight belt slippage when the engine stops suddenly against cylinder compression? Cummins diesels do it all the time, and the powerstroke mentioned above is probably doing it for the same reason. I know gas burners don't have as much compression, but maybe it's still happening?

My 2024 3.5 EB also does it.
I only have 1000 km on it.
I scheduled an appointment with my dealership and the morning I took it in
it stopped making the noise.
But I’m confident it will return.

The odd thing is I can make it make the noise with just cycling the ignition on then off without starting the engine

My 3.5 does it at shut down since new...on cold mornings it gives a chirp or two when running...can't figure it out ?

I noticed mine make a few short chirps this evening when running For the first time. got a 10/100000 warranty so I’m going to just roll with for now before I waste my time at the dealer..

Finally got my 24 3.5 EB to the dealership service department for them to hear the chirp on shut down.
They figure it’s the turbo’s waste gates cycling at shut down.
No fix yet.

guess I am going to have to get mine into the shop.. its chirping a lot .. it will chirp on idle down 3 to 4 times. and I can hear it chirping coming up to stop lights as the engine settles to a idle to.. its getting on my nerves now...

Decided to figure this out to night as i was doing some updates... noise seems to be coming from waste gate actuation arms... there are 3 pivot point that i lubed up with WD40 to see what would happen... noise was gone. went for drive and still no noise. can't say this is a long-term fix but it worked for me for now... still have a appointment for service on Friday for this issue. may just take it in any way..
