For a few months, my speakers will pop after my truck is shut off. There's no set rhythm to it; I'd say every 30 seconds or so. I can hear it outside of the truck. I have reset by Sync 4 by holding the power and FF buttons, but it is still happening. The other day, I was in the garage about 4 hours after I had gotten home and heard the speakers popping. I got in the truck, reset Sync, but discovered that the radio could be turned on and off and all radio functions active while the truck is off. Key fob not in the vehicle; start/stop button not lit or flashing. Is that normal?

Also, the HVAC system's temperature (feel) doesn't change unless I go to "HI" or "LO" on the temp dial. On "AUTO", any value, (1,2,3), the temp doesn't get any warmer or cooler unless I max it out. If I go to "HI", the fan runs faster and I can feel heat (AC light goes off), but at any other set point, the temp feels the same. Ironically, when I go to "LO", the temp feels warmer than 65, for example. This happens on a fixed fan speed also; not just AUTO.

Do the 2 (radio and HVAC) use the same software? Whereas an update would fix both?

I have the 18-speaker B&O system.

Mine is currently at the dealer for the “popping” noise. It been happening for at least 6months. I’ll report back with the findings.

Have you had any issues with getting updates?

The DSP update long time ago combined with one of the sync updates fixed all issues of audio popping for me. I used to get a loud pop from speakers every freaking time the camera screen came on. I also have the too many speakers B&O system.

Mine started after an over the air update back in April. It’s a 2022 Platinum PB with all the bells and whistles. I spoke to Jesse (Infotainment) and he said there really wasn’t a fix so I was reluctant to drop it off to the dealer for a month only to get it back and not be fixed. Since then, I was hoping they figured it out plus the passenger mirror camera seemed to have become dislodged? and was pointing in a strange direction giving me a weird camera view.
Just got a call from the dealer and they said Ford doesn’t have a TSB on the “popping” issue; however, there’s a forum? that service techs post to which had several mentions of this issue and it being related to an update. The fix is to factory reset the module. That’s what they’ve done and now waiting to see if it works. I’ll let you know when I get it back.
I remember people discussing this issue over a year before it materialized on my truck. Haven’t seen much since then until this most recent post. If anyone has anything else to offer in regards to a fix, please respond. Fingers crossed that resetting the module works.

Had this problem once after an aborted OTA update. This was a schedule update during low use hours. This apparently cause multiple updates to be queued. When taken to dealer they installed updates Via USB and all was good after that.

That reminds me. A couple posted that full system reset to default fixed their audio issues after an update. Those people were using FDRS but it would be the same update OTA. I'm convinced there are settings not visible in the asbuilt data that get reset when doing that. Always worth a try to do a reset it only costs you time to put settings back in.
