Recently purchased a used 21 F150 PB lariat trim. Within the first month the CEL has come on twice now. Both times have been during rain and the vehicle starting on my sloped driveway with the front of the truck lower than the rear due to slope. The CEL goes away when the rain is stopped and / or I’m on flat ground potentially. The CEL is gone on the next startup. This makes me wonder if water is getting in a connection. Both times the fordpass app has said “powertrain fault in the high voltage system.”
I found an excellent service tech who sent me the codes. I am attaching these images. She thought it was battery or hybrid battery pack related. Oddly I’m seeing among other things a lot of things associated with the left side of the vehicle (left blind spot, left turn lamp, left trailer direction indicator).
Anyone got any ideas? My debate is do I sink $180 into a new 12v battery or give the dealer $180 to diagnose.
FYI my multimeter has been reading a resting charge of 12.1V yesterday and the ford tech said remotely that my battery showed 60% charge. The voltage was down to 11.8v this morning.
