I have had my 21 XLT for 14 months and it has never updated from the 22192 it came with until last week it updated to 23115. I had given up on ever getting an update and did nothing different. As title suggest, APIM was replaced due to 1.7 software by dealer. It’s been a couple months with still no updates and dealer says it’s up to date but lacks all the “newer” features. Is there a wait period after getting a new APIM before getting updates?
Sync version is 21146 rev 145. Its what came on the new APIM “up to date” ?… odd thing enough when you enter the vin in the sync website it doesn’t show a sync version.. it’s just blank on their site, which makes me think the dealer didn’t set something up right…A couple of things.....
1. PM your VIN to @rugedraw and ask him....
A. Put your name on his list to borrow a Mongoose.
B. Request he looks up what updates you actually have outstanding.
2. What version are you showing in your truck under " ABOUT SYNC"?
Interesting… I just figured something would of been sent through by now.. but maybe it’s just a waiting game if I don’t do the FDRS.I have had my 21 XLT for 14 months and it has never updated from the 22192 it came with until last week it updated to 23115. Thanks for the lengthy reply! I agree it is not up to date based on the other threads I was reading. I’ll check out the link!I’m going to say your APIM (Sync) is most certainly not up to date. That is unless your dealer spent dozens of hours updating several versions of APIM and the dozens of other module updates that roll in as other updates are performed (one thing leads to another). If you want it updated, at this point you probably need to educate yourself on doing it yourself with a $575 Mongoose cable and a $50 two day subscription to FDRS. There is a thread on “borrowing“ the cable from some of the stalwarts on here. In theory they’d come over the air, but that is a lackluster process especially as far behind as I suspect you are.
The first couple posts in this thread will get you started to see if you want to tackle the lengthy process...

That version came out in 2021... you are way behind. Mongoose and FDRS is your only hope at this point....IMO. Follow my instructions above and plan on at least a weekend updating your truck. The good news is you are passed the version that bricked any updates.Sync version is 21146 rev 145. Great… thanks for all the info! This very helpful!! Any thoughts to why it’s not showing version isn’t showing up on the sync site? That version came out in 2021... you are way behind. FYI....the version breaks down like this....
21 - year of release......2021
146 -day of that year. May 26th.

APIM updates take 3 to 4 hours alone.
That happens a lot after an APIM is replaced. It happens sometimes after an APIM OTA, too. Eventually the truck will sync itself up with the server and that info will pop up.Great… thanks for all the info! This very helpful!! Got it, thanks! I thought this may have been limiting the trucks chance of getting OTAs but maybe not then..That happens a lot after an APIM is replaced. It happens sometimes after an APIM OTA, too. Eventually the truck will sync itself up with the server and that info will pop up.
