2025 Raptor Keyfobs

i dont post here a ton, but i thought i would share something with you guys. it looks like for the 2025 and later model years, Ford no longer has the "Raptor" text on the back of keyfobs for F-150 Raptors. i checked with the one my dealer got in plus 4 others from surrounding dealers. as of now, i dont know if the Raptor R still has the "Raptor" on the back of the keyfobs, i dont know if this is a temporary or permanent change, and i also dont know if this is due to supplier constraints, cost cutting, or anything of the like. this is a poor choice by Ford and makes me worry if they are also going to cut out all the other unique keyfobs, like the "ST" ones

If it's still the same body as previous years, you can try and find replacement shell backs. You used to be able to get all of ford's ~10+ designs out of china on the cheap. Just checked and couldn't find any in the usual places. They were quite ubiquitous - backs like this were $11 shipped (with a dozen or so other designs available as well including the raptor's)

Geez, are they still at least giving 2 key fobs? When the launched the mach-e they only gave 1 and people raised hell. The whole phone as a key thing still has hiccups that seem to show up at the least convenient times.

yes, they are still giving 2 keyfobs. thats the part that makes me think this backplate change is temporary and possibly a supplier issue. if they wanted to cut costs, dropping a whole keyfob saves more money

also, on the Mach-E thing, i think that was also a backplate supplier issue, because the backs of the first year Mach-E had the Mustang's silver pony instead of the design we know now. in fact, it was a Mustang part, as the part number of the keyfob for that time starts with "JR3Z"
