2025 Lariat Apple CarPlay

If I am listening to the radio, and my wife (who is connected via apple carplay) looks at something on her phone with audio, the truck will automatically switch to carplay. Possible to change this? Rather annoying.

Go to phone settings and remove her phone from truck menu. The only way I know of.

I had the same issue with my second line. I have 1 synced and hard-wired the other when I need it. I know its not the answer you want lol

I agree -setting the wife's phone to be hardwired only is probably the best bet, but not likely what OP is looking for.

The audio source in Sync4 (radio) will switch to Carplay when it is connected/active and the phone starts playing an audio track from a different source on the phone. This is by design from Apple and not inherent to Sync. Short of using a different device specifically for CarPlay the only other option is to tell her to stop looking at TickTok or Facebook at stop lights.

Had to tell my wife this very thing.
