Yeah that is downfall with 702 PB. Payload sticker on the truck is 1308. I really didn't want the moonroof either as I've read all the horror stories. But wow the amount of light it lets in is awesome and feels very different from my F150 that didn't have one. Knock on wood so far it hasn't leaked and is very quite in freezing cold weather so far. I did the Krytox lube on the seals immediately. I don't yet have an ESP but I will 100% be getting one. This thing is loaded with electronics and all I see is $$$$ on any repair after the original warranty is up. I only have 1200miles so far.

As for Ford chat yes on their website. https://www.ford.com/help/contact/. Best browser to use that I've found is Edge. Chrome for whatever reason the chat button does not show up.

Oh the HUD with the 702 is one of the best I've seen. Information it display's is fantastic. Works really well with Android Auto.

Yeah, I have a sunroof on my car and a panoramic moonroof on my Jeep. I never open either of them. I Have a coworker that has a Ford EB with the moonroof and he says about once a month he needs to loosen some screws and drop the glass down from inside and clean the grooves as debris gets in there and it creates a rattle type noise... **eyeroll** For what its worth, his truck, I think, is like 2018-2020...somewhere in there. So hopefully these newer models have mitigated that issue...

What is this Krytox lube you are talking about? Sounds like something I should plan on doing..

I"ll definitely be getting a ESP too. Ive never bought one on any other vehicle purchase, but thats going to change with this truck.

Ive heard the HUD is amazing. Ive never experienced it before so wasn't sure if it was a gimmicky feature. But all reports ive read is its pretty great. So that paired with the upgraded sound system forced me into the 702a.

It is the grease that Ford recommends you put on the seals as a maintenance items. It will help prevent the seals from sticking to the frame and creating noise or damage. It also helps keep the seals plush. One thing I learned is that it is normal if you see water dripping into the tray going through a high pressure car wash or during a heavy rain. It should be contained in the gutter and then drain out the drain holes. What I've read is try to avoid gas station car washes with that high pressure spray. Being a truck it sits higher which gets it much closer to the nozzles and that can damage the seals. So far I've only gone through a true car wash system and have not had a problem yet.

Thank you. I"ll definitely get some of that grease. How often do apply it?

I never drive vehicles through car wash's as im not risking the swirling paint damage that can be caused. And the touchless ones dont really do a great job. Besides, I dont mind hand washing my nice vehicle on a hot sunny day.

Being my first "Ford" pano roof I'm planning every 6 months and monitor to see if I need to do it more or can go less.

Hand washing is the best and I applauded you! I'm just a little lazy in the hand washing department :)

Just got this text. Ford's order tracker shows I went into Production on 12/2 (9 days ago).

Since this is my first text from Ford on anything, I'm inclined to chalk this up to Ford's notoriously bad communication.... But, just in case anyone recognizes this text as actually meaning something (like a QC hold, etc) - I figured I'd post it.

-------

Edit: I just noticed the email Ford also sent... Since it indicates I haven't been scheduled for production yet, and have been in production for 9 days, I'll just assume it's Ford's communication issues and not any actual news.

Update: It would appear the text and email were generated after my truck got put into the off-site Quality Assurance Hold. Wish me luck getting out of it!

It would be nice if the text and email had accurate info instead of telling me my truck that just went into a QA hold was still waiting to be scheduled for production....

It looks like mine is in the same QA hold as of the 11th. The 11th was my Blend Date on Sticker. I'm glad to hear the trucks are built. Ford gave me an ETA to the dealer of 12/31. We shall see. Getting closer!

Ford gave me an ETA to dealer of this week - lol. 0 chance of that happening.

Hope we aren't stuck in QA too long.

Talked to my sales rep and he confirmed my truck was built. Also confirmed it was at a holding lot. This lines up with what you are sharing. He said Ford gives no reasons why they are holding the vehicle.

For reference:

Ordered September 27, 2024
Scheduled for production December 2, 2024
Blend date December 3, 2024

Thanks for sharing our info. Maybe we can triangulate common options.

I ordered:

King Ranch
Powerboost
Tow Mirrors
Spray in bed liner

I see you ordered:

Lariat
Powerboost
BAP

It will be interesting to see if others end up in QA hold, and what they ordered. Well - hopefully we won't be there long and it won't matter :)

I think the common option for our trucks is the PowerBoost. On the scheduling thread it was noted hybrid optioned trucks would be in production the week of December 2.

IMO they are holding the 2025 trucks until the 24’s are delivered.

I’m in the same spot as you guys. Quality Assurance hold according to my dealer. Platinum 702 Powerboost. No other details. My first F150 was a 21 Powerboost Covid truck. Sat for nearly 6 months. Won’t do that again…hopefully they move quick!

From my very unscientific analysis, it doesn't look like any 2025's F150's have been delivered yet to dealers (from spot checking local Detroit dealer inventory, Granger, and a few other big midwest dealerships). I know it's early, but I would have expected some models to be delivered based on when 2025 production started.

I wonder if the QA hold is all 2025's queuing up and waiting on something...
