It must be a website issue right now; I just tried my trucks sticker again and then tried a random truck off my local dealer's site and both said sticker unavailable.
Thanks for letting me know. I wasn't sure if it was just my VIN affected. Much appreciated!

I have a handful of questions in regards to a new order. I recently got my order confirmed by Ford. Over my journey to finally placing the order ive seen a lot of different terms and lingo and now feel its the right time to know what some of it means...

Blend date? what is the blend date referencing?

Priority code? what does your priority code number signify?

At what point am I able to track the order? After a VIN is created?

I have a FordPass account set upt, but it does not have my order listed? Is this the same as the above question and I need to receive a VIN before it can be added to my account?

Will any earned FordPass points automatically be added to my account?

Thanks!

Blend Date refers to when all the part required to build your truck should be assembled, in preparation to be built.

Priority codes: Codes 10-19 are set by the dealer (Mine is 19). If the dealer put code 10, it's their highest priority. Ford assigns codes 20 and above for dealer stock.

Order Tracking: Once you have a VIN, this generally means you can't modify the order anymore.

FordPass: I can't recall exactly, but my vehicle showed up in FordPass around the blend date.

If it helps, here is my timeline below. You can see that the tracking moved me to "In Production" on 11/19, but with no date. My truck actually went into production 12/2, and as of today is still in that status.
  • Ordered from Granger Ford: 8/28/24
  • VIN assigned 10/10/24
  • Production Scheduled week of 11/25/24
  • Went into Production 11/19/24 (without a date). Blend date on window sticker shows 11/19/24.
  • "In Production" date set to 12/2/24

Where can you find the priority code? I assume my dealer used 19 as well but would like to verify that..

And do you get your window sticker at the same time as when the VIN is available?

Priority Code was on the top of myPreview Order that I got from my dealer when I ordered.

The Window sticker timing isn't exact, but often in the week before or during your production week it's available.

Priority codes really are not super important. What is important is what you ordered and how many extra's you have i.e. cover, spray in liner, wheel wells etc...these items can cause constants and your order not pickup up by Ford weekly. The other important piece of information is how many allocations your dealer has. Ford does not build trucks as they receive orders. Your dealer's allocation play a huge role. Example if your dealer only has 4 allocations per month but they have placed 20 orders it could take significant time. A dealer does not have to tell you how many allocations they have but some will.

Thats great info too. Thank you.

I ordered a 702 Platinum PB. So I guess we will see how that model/trim is affected. I only added the spray in liner, wheel well liners, and tow mirrors.. I took off the tonneau cover for the specific reasoning of trying to mitigate a delay. Hopefully the spray in liner doesn't bog it down too much.

My dealer didn't tell me how many allocations they get, but even if they did i'd be skeptical to believe them. That would be an easy thing to lie about to try and earn business. Maybe they'll tell me the truth now if I ask since they already have my order?? ?

Thanks again!

First off congratulations!!! That is exactly the model I ordered. Now the not great news on my order. I ordered my 702 Plat PB last year 12/19/23 and took deliver 10/31/2024. I knew it was going to be a long haul but it was hard to wait. The only extra I had was the wheel well liners but originally had the spray-in. At the time I found out it was a constraint so I had them remove it. The other wild card for '24 was the PAT. I specially wanted it so I had to wait for Job 2 this is where your timeframe could be much faster. I will say this I LOVE the PAT and wasn't sure I would but figured I'm ordering a Plat I'm going getting the new PAT. Absolutely no regrets. I do wish the step was still there but I've gotten around that with a 3rd party step on the side. However the pluses for me outweigh the step 10x.

Something else you can do if you are really really wanting to know weekly. Use the Ford chat function requesting an update on your order. I found they are more than willing to give you status. Now they can't go real in depth but I found my VIN through them before my dealer did. They even gave me the convoy tracking # once it shipped with an ETA that was way more accurate than the website. Best day to ask is Friday. Thursdays are the day Ford does scheduling.

All you need is your order # and sales code # (dealer should give you both) and they can look it up. Ask if they can provide you with a primary status and secondary status.

Best thing you can do is expect a long build time and if comes early that is awesome. Try not to get discouraged if it seems like yours is never getting scheduled.

And thank you for that valuable information. And happy to hear you haven't had any regrets on the purchase! I'll definitely be doing my best to not get my expectations too high. I"ll definitely be wondering if I should have opted out of the liner and just did it aftermarket. Damn.

I'll definitely use that suggestion of the Ford Chat. Is this feature on Ford.com?

Curious question since we ordered the same truck... What is your payload capacity? I would have preferred to not have a moon roof so the payload was better but I needed the 702A so my hands were tied. Note, I am purchasing a 157" Wheel base. Not sure if that will affect the payload in any way..

Yeah that is downfall with 702 PB. Payload sticker on the truck is 1308. I really didn't want the moonroof either as I've read all the horror stories. But wow the amount of light it lets in is awesome and feels very different from my F150 that didn't have one. Knock on wood so far it hasn't leaked and is very quite in freezing cold weather so far. I did the Krytox lube on the seals immediately. I don't yet have an ESP but I will 100% be getting one. This thing is loaded with electronics and all I see is $$$$ on any repair after the original warranty is up. I only have 1200miles so far.

As for Ford chat yes on their website. https://www.ford.com/help/contact/. Best browser to use that I've found is Edge. Chrome for whatever reason the chat button does not show up.

Oh the HUD with the 702 is one of the best I've seen. Information it display's is fantastic. Works really well with Android Auto.

I believe it usually is the last two weeks of year but don't quote me on that.

From what I can find online, it seems to vary between 1 week and 2 weeks, depending on the year and the plant. Haven't been able to find any info for this year....

Looks like the lightning was scheduled to just take 1 week starting Dec 23rd before they made it a 7 week overall shutdown.
