2024 XLT Key Error/No proximity handle unlock

Hello! Have about 200 miles on my new xlt. Love everything except I get a "No Key Found" error when starting up that goes away almost immediately. In addition, I haven't been able to get the proximity handle unlock or handle "lock" button to function. Lastly, I get a "Restart now or key needed" message when turning my truck off. Somehow feel these are all related but would love any insight people have. I did try changing the Fob battery and nothing changed. Possibly a missed step by the dealer when "setting up?"

Just for chuckles and giggles.. use your other key fob. See if the problem still is there. Is this problem just in one place or anywhere that you are? I had this on my 21... was only at a drive up teller in town. Sometimes had to put the fob into the slot in the cup holder

So far it's been everywhere I've tried, even tried with leaving my phone and wallet in the house. Both fobs given identical results unfortunately. Appreciate you brainstorming!

I have a 24 and the same thing was happening to my XLT. Ultimately ended up being that the battery needed a good charge and then everything worked as intended.

Yeah, take it to the dealer if it persists, luckily it sounds like it is doing it all the time, nothing worse than trying to diagnose an intermittent problem.

This gives me some hope, sounds like an excuse to go on a long drive!

Hi, new here and to the F150 gang. Came upon this forum and post with a Google search when I was experiencing the exact same issue with my 2024 XLT. Picked it up from the dealer a few days ago and the proximity is not working whatsoever and also when I enter the truck it briefly says key not detected. I have a service appointment set for next week and will update here with any updates.

Update.... Had my dealer appointment today. They said the issue was a known one and had a software fix ready for it. Everything works as it should now.

Dropped it off in the morning and they brought it back to my house in the afternoon. Not sure how long it took but it sounded like it was pretty straight forward. Make sure to bring both keys with you, they usually need both to troubleshoot this kind of thing.

I have a similar problem , my commute to work is very short and if the battery doesn’t get a good charge it won’t work. When it has a good charge I don’t have any issues.
