Hi, I'm new here and new to owning my own truck for a change. Picked up my Lariat end of June, antimatter blue. Love it. However yesterday we had flash flooding and my sunroof leaked on the front passengers side. I checked the drains this morning by pouring water into the canal area, no issues they drained. Could it be it was from a massive steady downpour? I'm bringing to the dealer to have it checked regardless. I'm just wondering if this is going to be a constant headache considering my husband said don't order a sunroof and I'll probably never hear the end of it now.

Have the dealer check the pano seals. Mine had to be replaced after a downpour revealed the failure.

Thanks good to know. I just went to get something out from under the back seat and I had some paperwork stored back there, that's wet as well. I'll never hear the end of this from my husband

Should have listened to husband. ? Jk. Hope you find root/cause and is fixed.
I know. The one time I don't listen, lol. I've never had a problem with any sunroof before. I also saw it as one less area to hit with the detailing of ceramic coating.

Someone posted this on here a couple of weeks ago. Mine doesn't leak but I'm going to seal up the areas pointed out in the video as cheap insurance.

Thank you for sharing this. This will definitely help when I go to the dealership and have them work on it.

The sunroof shouldn't leak. I use mine all the time and haven't had any leaks yet. Possibly just an area poor seal somewhere

I don't think so
Like @Antimatter Blue, I too use mine all the time and have had not issues. I've had a number of vehicles with sunroofs and have never had an issue. I don't plan to have another vehicle without a sunroof.

Thanks. Hopefully it's a simple fix. I have an appointment for Friday. Sent my oldest to a dealership close to his job about something with his '22, service manager took his information. Turns out we went to high school with him, so at least we have someone who will take care of our issues and not just the oh well like the last dealer we used for service.

I have had sunroofs before and grew to not being fan. In the past I have found that their seals begin to shrink and fail. The drains can get clogged by debris over time. They become a maintenance item. The become an expensive item that gets used less and less over time. Sunroofs will now make me walk away from a purchase. Hope they are able to quickly find the cause and have an easy remedy.

Yep, video above spells it all! Truck under warranty 2021 Limited leaked and leaked despite all Ford service. Not even under warranty since they say it's a seal. Anyway maybe Ford will actually repair stuff on the assembly line instead of tape solutions as stated in video above.
