2024 RCSB (XL) - Pre-wired discussion

Hi, all,

New 2024 RCSB owner here. It seems that there were wiring changes in the 2024, but what's changed isn't always easy to figure out. I welcome others to use this thread to discuss any discoveries-

My question.

For my 2024, I'm installing the heated wheel SCCM (lariat wheel and SCCM). The SCCM included the rain sensing setting on the stalk. I've seen that earlier years likely already have the wiring for the rain sensor above the rear view mirror - does the 24?

Some earlier years had the driver door pre-wired for the 5 button keypad - is this the same for 2024?

Last, has anyone added power folding mirrors to their RC? If so, what did you use for a window/folding switch? I know that the 24 is not pre-wired for, and there are wiring kits out there, but I'm hoping it's not a 4 door window switch that gets used on a two-door.

I did learn that the driver seat harness is pre-wired for a power seat - you can swap in one from a higher trim model. The passenger seat is not pre-wired.

Keep the discussion going - I have to imagine that the 2025 MY will be in the same situation.

So the keypad wiring is not in the door - I'm going to try installing the driver door harness from a 2023 F150 RCSB XLT that has the wiring already. Does anyone know if the keypad function can be enabled through Forscan?

Before going through the trouble assuming it's only the door harness missing wires, follow the trail to where they lead (BCM?) and verify the wires are populated on the appropriate connectors.

Did you ever get any further with this? Looking to do the same thing exact thing. I have already found that the 2024 RCSB driver door harness is missing the mirror turn signal and puddle lamp wires. Passenger side is there.

I’ve been working on other wiring projects lately and haven’t torn into the driver door yet. But, my plan is to get the harness from a 2024 RCLB F250 XLT and I’ll gain power folding mirrors, puddle lights, pin code access and some other functions I’m contemplating adding. The passenger door needs to be done too r the folding mirrors and puddle lights.

I also have a 2024 Regular Cab Short Box truck that I've slowly been tracing wiring in.

I pulled out my interior to install carpet in my truck a few months ago. While the seats and trim were out I traced the wiring for the heated steering wheel +12v circuit. I can confirm that our 2024 RCSB (and likely all `24's) already have a fuse and partical wiring lead for the heated steering wheel installed from the factory. Specifically, there's a 15A fuse and wiring lead that exits the passenger foot-well fuse box. This wiring lead dead-ends under the center console.

Under the center console, on the drivers side, wiring harness connection where the heated steering wheel 15A +12V circuit dead-ends:

For anyone wanting to retrofit a heated steering wheel into a 2024 F-150, my recommendation would be to cut and extend the Yellow/green wire at the fuse box in the passenger foot-well. This circuit could then be extended to the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) to provide the needed +12v switched power for the heated steering wheel. The correct SCCM to use and coding for the 2024 and newer trucks is still unknown (to the best of my knowledge). I have a SCCM on order and will test coding with Forscan over the coming weeks...

Did you manage to find out any more information or make any headway in regard to the heated steering wheel and the keyless entry key pad install on the 2024 RCSB.
