2024 Cam Phaser failure

Just dropping a data point for the forum.

Very disappointed to experience this issue @25k miles. Truck was babied, first oil change @ 500 miles with Mobil1 5w30 synthetic and OE filter...5k miles changes thereafter.

I literally bought this truck on the heels of my Raptor having 2 cam phaser failures.

All the data available at the time of purchase (Sep 2024) said these 2.7 NEVER have any issues with phasers.

Absolutely loved the truck, lots of info in my build thread on here, but with no updated phasers to fix this seemingly more and more common issue...I'm out.

So I traded it in and got an 2025 F250 with the 7.3 pushrod V8 and hoping they have fixed the lifter issues in them.

Good luck with the 7.3. My buddy who works at the local dealer says they are crap. He's always got one torn down when I stop by to visit. Why didn't you just get it fixed under warranty?

Honestly everything is crap now a days...even this "bulletproof" 2.7 took a shit on me so there's that!

I didn't want the hassle of messing with the dealer to fix it and possibly waiting months to get my truck back.

So i just pulled the trigger on what I actually wanted all along...
