Just of note about the message from your dealer. I have ordered 5 or 6 vehicles from the late 1980's to present. At no time did it ever take about a 1 month. I believe that is just salesman folly that he was telling you. I think the best I ever got was about 11 or 12 weeks.

I wasn't really quoting him, just paraphrasing. He was just trying to make the point that in normal times, AFTER converting from one model year to the next, special orders wouldn't take that long, versus now...which they don't even like to guess. He made every effort (almost beating a dead horse) that he doesn't know when they will fully convert to making 2023s, then even after that unknown time, he has no good way to predict when they will complete my order because they bounce around from trim levels as I mentioned in my post above. As far as salesmen go...there's a lot of BS'ers out there......but I don't think he's one.

Congrats! I ordered 8/10. Couldn’t resist avalanche gray. I skipped the moon roof but everything else is there.

I ordered my 402A Tremor on 8/1 from Granger in Avalanche as well. Its going to be a painfully long wait, but excited thinking about how good she's going to look!

Might as well start the pool now! What's everyone's best guess on arriving at the dealership date?

I ordered mine on 8/18.

So lets see....say they start on 2023s on Dec 1.....they crank through the orders that started on 7/18 (I think that's when the portal opened), might as well go with April 1, 2023!!!

I did indeed go 402A. It was pretty late when I replied and my brain wasn't fully engaged apparently. Went back and edited.

I really like that Ford is letting buyers decided on the V8 or V6, with zero cost implications.

My back of the napkin math also ended up with April. I think I’ll drive it for a year and flip it for a profit to help pay for my Lightning when my number is finally called.

If you don't mind answering this question. Was this on a Ford App? I ordered my Tremor Aug 2nd 2022 and I never got a confirmation email. However the dealership did get a confirmation email. Can I look up my order or tack my order via an App?

I ordered at the dealer and received this email a few days later. They took my email when I ordered so they must have entered it so I would receive communications. However, I cannot see or track my order if I log into my Ford account with my email. Dealer told me to expect that.

Dear Mr. Mitty-

Congrats on ordering your 2023 Tremor! I took ownership last week on my 2022 and it took exactly 8 months to the day from ordering to delivery. I like your taste since mine is also Antimatter Blue with a 402a Package- (Pro Power/Unleashed Sound System/Max Tow/ Bed Utility Package and some minor goodies). I just want to let you know to just RELAX and enjoy the wait- it’s well worth it. I had many F150’s and my last three, 06/13/18, were all King Ranch’s so I know the brand well. I can tell you that I only had this truck for a little over a week and it’s terrific! I wanted something different from all the other trucks on the road and also be able to perform on the job site and get me to my cabin with ease!

Here’s what you’re in for:

-Thank you email from Ford before you leave the dealership.

-Second email telling you that once the parts are secured Ford will schedule your build.

-Third email (2 months later) telling you that they haven’t secured the parts.

-Fourth email (2 months later) with your VIN # and letting you know that you receive a build week soon. (Don’t click on any of the links because they don’t do anything.)

-Fifth email (1 month later) with an actual build week, VIN # and links that actually work!

… Now the fun starts….

-Sixth, Seventh and Eighth (every two weeks or so) changing you build week each time. You may start to get excited that you may be getting a truck soon but again just take a deep breath and RELAX! None of those emails are true.

-Ninth email with actual real build week/day with a timeline. Now you can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Have a drink.

-Tenth email that looks identical to the ninth telling you that your truck has been built and is ready for shipment! Timeline updates and now you can get excited. Have another drink.

-Eleventh email telling you that your truck is at the dealership. However, you will probably get a call from your dealer 2-4 days prior to the email telling you that your 2023 Tremor is here. Happy Days. What if found to be interesting is that once Ford built the truck it was at my dealership within 3 weeks. My truck was built in Michigan, and I live in Northeast Pennsylvania.

I hope you find this email enjoyable because I know that your “TREMOR” will be worth the wait. Finally, If you need some support along the what the way, please let me know and I’ll upload some pictures.

Put my deposit down today, and the dealer said they placed the order and to be on the lookout for a confirmation email from Ford!

I will use this tread to update the process.

Dealer "said" they ordered? Did you leave with signed order sheet? Did you receive confirmation email from ford?

When I ordered my 22, i left dealer with signed order sheet amd received confirmation email from ford before i left dealer
