Is there any reliable way to know which brand tires, a freshly ordered truck will have?

I've seen vids with some 18" Goodyear Wranglers on 4x4s and Hankooks on 20"s.

I've seen people mention Michelins but don't recall the package configuration.

Mine will be a 501a 4x4. Not FX4. Just curious.

Some trucks come with Pirelli also. Mine did and they are a pretty decent tire on dry and wet roads. I haven't been off road yet but by the looks of them, they will not fair to well off road.

Yes, I'd seen those too but couldn't remember if that was for 4x4s. The owner felt they were on the soft side for towing. Not enough to prematurely replace them, just mentioned that he'd go with something stiffer, when the time came.

From what i can recall is most trucks with 18" chrome wheels that do not have the FX4 package will have an all season Michelin Primacy XC. The all terrain 18" wheel option is a Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT. In the 20" wheel options you can get either Pirelli Scorpion ATR or Hankook Dynapro AT2. Doesn't really seem to be much rhyme or reason but most of the Lariat that's i've seen that have the chrome wheel option will get Pirelli. The Pirellis used to come as a white letter option but they quit that in 2022.

My 502A 4x4, w/max tow came with Hankook Dynapro AT2 which are standard load, so yes very soft sidewalls, very much not ideal for towing. I immediately switched mine out for BFG K02's (cause that's what I had on my 2012 and really liked how they 'felt' while towing my travel trailer.)

I did fail to notice though that the factory size of 275/60R20 in BFG K02 is only a load range D, which is plenty adequate for what our trucks can haul/tow, but I prefer the load range E. Rides like old lumber wagon but gives oh so much better confidence towing. The D is night and day difference form the SL, but the E almost makes it seem like the trailer isn't even there.

My 22 501a FX4 came with the Goodyear Wranglers. The tires have been fine. Pretty good traction on wet and dry and no issues on dirt, gravel, grass etc. Nothing hard core but I wouldn’t expect it to perform to any extreme being a factory tire. They’re not wearing bad either. 10K on mine so far.

Unless the factory versions are different than the retail, I'd be fine with Wranglers. I've run them before.

My 2021 came with 20" Hankook tires, my dads 2023 King Ranch came with 20" Pirellis. I like the look of the Pirelli tires better.

Is it chrome package or sport? Also 18” or 20”.

The chrome 20’s come standard with the Pirelli which is Outlined White Letter, but on Lariats you can select BSW which would give you the Hankooks. Sport package 20’s come with the BSW Hankooks.

2023 501a 4x4 PB. It comes with 18"wheels and AT tires.
No sport, or black packages so, default is chrome package.

I won’t drive mine in snow either. They are not bad for summer use, as mentioned not really up for towing anything heavy.

The purchasing agents are going to buy whatever tire is available at the lowest cost to Ford at any given point in time. Even with the 2500 class pickup I bought in 2011 the tires were rated for less than 3,000 lbs and I quickly replaced them. I got half the money I needed for the new higher load capacity tires by selling the factory tires on Craigslist.
