I am on my second no start issue. Sorry for starting a new tread on this but every no start seem to be a bit different.

First no start 16 months ago, was deemed a battery issue, truck is a 22 purchased in 23 with only about 12k on it now!

Parked to load it 1/2 hour later go to start No, to the dealer it Goes, they replace the battery.

Second No Start

Park the truck Friday go to start it on Monday morning nothing. try jump box and a jump, nope, Called ford for a tow, driver did call but had wrong phone number. I just started emptying the bed.
he shows up. I explained not ready to have it towed, he says that i have to reschedule a tow, but He could attempt a jump.

It starts he leaves, I leave it running, unload, daughter followed me to the dealer. Now i have no abs, abs and brake light is on. Drive white knuckles to the dealer, daughter behind, on the phone with me. Probably should not of done that. We were very cautious, braking led to a skid every time even at 20 mph. Seemed like brake was only through rear parking.

Today marks3 weeks. I did get a loaner escape after some fuss, they have over 50 loaners, all were out.

They first said A/C clutch. ordered part.

Last Monday they decided BCM, ordered it.

Thinking of notifying ford of a possible lemon ?, situation, in my state brake failure is a higher priority failure.

Will see if i get any update this week.

I feel your pain these trucks are a nightmare .All they know to do is throw parts at them.I wish I had gone the lemmon law on mine what every you end up doing will be a heartache and any repair they do will be half way fix that will never perform like it once did . Blessings on your journey.

What really threw me was the A/C clutch.

I get it, it is a electro magnet. But if it is 20 degrees out and the truck is off, the A/c is off, the A/C is not defrosting. How can it drain the battery in 60 hours of sitting.

Current would need to be fed to it, that would be a programming failure or a module failure.

I am feeling as you said

"All they know to do is throw parts at them"

I did find a law firms explaining a class action on 13 gen F 150 brake failure due to master cylinder seal.

The way it was braking was exactly as they described with that failure. They said that failure could force all or most of the fluid to the rear brakes.

That is exactly how it felt.

Got back from picking it up. very interesting as to what was replaced and why.

First the list.

Ac Clutch
Battery
BCM
Fuse Box Panel assembly
Alarm Keyless Lock System module

Those are the major items. Seems the A/C clutch was grounding out.
As to the engine fuse box, the service advisor was seeing this on super duty trucks. Water was able to intrude into the box especially when driving through water. The new part is a revised part that should seal better.

The AGM battery was damaged again due to the various electrical issues.

Even in the winter all new vehicles will run the a/c a little to keep the fluid moving so nothing dries out. This way when summer comes your a/c will work.

The a/c will run in winter if using defrost, helps get rid of moisture.

I have hardly used the defrost setting all winter.

Also the power drain happened while it sat for 60 hours.

Just a follow up: the dome light on my camper shell or cap was not working. The power lock was and the 3rd brake light.

Brought it back to the dealership, turned out to be a missing fusible link. The shell installer probably tapped into the trailer wiring, and when they replaced the fuse box they did not transfer it.

All I know is they installed one, the dome light works now, not sure if it was tied in to the trailer harness, just a logical guess.
