Hi. I am new here, and pretty ignorant on the software side. My Canadian 2022 Lariat came with BC 1.0. Automatic updates are turned on. I have asked my dealer what software upgrades are available for my VIN. He says 6 or so, but won't tell me what they are, and won't do any upgrades unless I am having problems related to the specific module. I have a couple of minor issues. Does that sound right? How can I find out what the possible updates are, especially for BC, and get the dealer to do the work, or do I need to do myself?
Thanks for any guidance.

You need to msg @rugedraw and he can check your VIN and let you know how far behind you are.

Also, please remove your VIN from the msg. New rules on the forum mandate VIN to be sent on PM. Thanks.

That's just my rule..... not really the forum. I'm trying to stay low key. Lol

The Service dept is not concerned with keeping your truck up to date. Unless you have a problem or TSB, or recall that ties to an update they won't do it. If you have a really good relationship with your service dept they make hook you up as a goodwill gesture.

The over the air update process is very spotty - you can follow that thread.

If you want to be on the latest you need to DIY it. Link to that thread here

The DIY interval really depends person to person. I'm good with doing a full update once a year and letting the OTA process do its thing in between. The exception to that would be if a feature came out that I really wanted like enabling camera turn signals or blue cruise improvements I would apply those as needed.
