2022 Exhaust tip question.

2022 3.5 EB. I can’t stand the chrome tip that comes stock. I know the stock exhaust is roughly 3” ID. I have a tip I really like, it’s a dual 3” tip but where it connects to the stock exhaust will be 2.5“ ID. I have the means to attach it but my question is will it hurt or affect the engine going from 3” ID to 2.5” ID at the tip? Thanks for any help.

I would be very surprised if you noticed a difference. You should be fine

Just want to make sure it doesn’t affect performance or cause issues for the motor. The newer these vehicles get the more it seems little things can cause issues.
Not worried about sound or increased performance.

Changing the tip isn't going to affect anything except your wallet.
