Exhaust Tip Question

Can anyone possibly measure the length of the last straight part of the exhaust where the tip mounts on a 3.5 EB setup?
Waiting for delivery but try to get a tip worked out ahead of time and need to know if I can use a 10, 12, or 18 long tip (3.5" dia). Longest possible because I will be ceramic coating black and want the cleanest look possible.
Any measurement would be helpful.

(BTW I am aware of the stock 3-1/8" diameter issue and have a plan)

Likely will cut off the pipe about an inch and a half from the last bend and slide in and weld a 3" diameter peice. Will insert it 1 to 1.5" while leaving appx 4" sticking out to clamp (or weld) the 3" inlet tip onto.
